I had some left over fig infused cognac. So I created Figma.

Have you heard of the Ligma cocktail?

I heard it taste like balls

1oz Fig Cognac 1oz Rye Whiskey 1/2oz Pear Liqueur 2-3 Dashes Angostura Bitters Lemon Twist If you don’t have a sous vide. Infuse the cognac and dried figs for 4 days in the fridge

The only type of Figma engineers love

Fig infused cognac? I need more information! That sounds amazing.

@The_Myth Put cognac and cut up figs in a jar and leave in the fridge for 4 days. Or use the sous vide instructions in the vid.

Bit short on sous vide, so figs in the fridge it is! Sounds brilliant and I'm doing it first thing tomorrow. Thank you!

@The_Myth After you strain the figs out, just keep the infusion in your fridge. It’ll be good for months.

And of course, eat the figs? 😉 Thank you. Really looking forward to trying it . No idea why I have never thought of it before. It now seems so obvious. 😊

@The_Myth A restaurant I helped out with a different fig cognac is putting the in their pancake batter. Haven’t had the dish yet, but sounds like a great idea.

That's actually a great idea. I always add Brandy to my pancake batter, to keep the pancakes from going chewy when they have been standing a while. Giving a bit more flavour that way would be great! My mom has a massive fig tree at her house in Cape Town and visiting her in 2 weeks time. Just in time for ripe figs.

How dedicated you are bro

I was scrolling videos and this popped up and almost tagged you and then realized it was you who made the video lol.

How is this not insanely viral wth

Never before have cognac and "left over" been uttered in the same breath.

Needed to save room for the 30yo Armagnac night cap

That looks fire.

Hey @grok is this Nikita bier brother?

Just in time for everyone to stop drinking.

Suggestion: Grab a slice of red orange. Sprinkle some coffee powder on one side and a small amount of brown sugar on the other. Let the slice rest for 15–30 minutes, then eat it before drinking the “figma” drink. ( remove the lemon slice in case you try this additional ingredient/process because the Angostura)

It's home made ?

@pal1enm Yes. Instructions in the video

mmm, gonna cut some aged gouda and enjoy the storm 😎
