I hadn't composed a song in about 3 years before making The Puppet's theme for POPGOES Arcade's 2025 Fighting Chance update. So it actually took a few attempts before landing on the final version. Here's a compilation of some scrapped, unfinished versions of his song!

I lost my first run for mayor. It was such a spectacular contest covered in NJ and national media that a documentary made about it was actually nominated for an Oscar, only to lose to March of the Penguins (making me sort of a two time loser). It was a long four years until I got another chance to run and ultimately won. At my first event years before I would have a chance to run again, a local pastor stood up and sang this song: A Change Is Gonna Come. He had many of us crying grit filled, determined, tears of resolve and strength. The song became our unofficial theme song for those long years of waiting, working, serving and struggling to continue on.
