The investigation continued and a trial would have taken place if his accusers had testified or if evidence had been found for the state to indict him. The accusers had the opportunity to BOTH receive money and pursue criminal charges, but chose not to. He settled the civil case because it was scheduled before the criminal one, which violated his Fifth Amendment rights. I love watching Tyler James Williams interviews bc he stays dropping GEMS (this one from #CultureCon). This is the realest thing I'll probably post this week, and I preach this to my students ALL THE TIME. This is the lowest point of risk, the lowest stakes, they will ever have in their career. If they're too scared to be vulnerable NOW, how will they ever know what works for them? People want an out-of-the-box career, pre-fab, just assemble and go. They want to get to the finish line in 10 steps or less. It don't work like that - and shouldn't! The honing of craft, the growth, the development, that all comes before you "arrive." You need it to get there.

We have completely f**king closed our eyes to the fact that organizations, regardless of political affiliation or social interest, have fundamental commercial and probably not aligned interests with the definition of a 501(c)(3), and we've allowed them all to get away with it for far too long. I don't think that this is a blue or red thing. I think that this is a thing where we let these organizations make it easy to get money, to hide the money, and to do whatever the hell they want with the money, and we need to stop it. And I think that it's an amazing opportunity right now for everyone to kind of reset the decks by cleaning all the sh*t up, and getting all of these organizations flushed, and make sure that any organization that wants to do whatever bullsh*t, nefarious things they want to do, by all means do it. But it's not a nonprofit and you shouldn't get a charitable donation deduction, and the government should not be putting money into these sorts of things. This is an entirely different sort of activity in the social order. I'm no fan of James Comey, I think he's a smug, self-righteous clown, but I'm also not sure there's enough evidence to actually convict him of wrongdoing. As Andy McCarthy explains well here, this is going to be a difficult case to prove. What's crazy is I'm sure the Trump admin must know that. So either they have more evidence we haven't seen yet, or they know Comey will eventually be acquitted but they don't care because this was just about trying to prove a point.

This man said this is what grinds his gears. His neighbors mow their yard but they always leave their grass clippings out in the street. 😳 He said they should be sweeping them up or blowing them back into their yard and if they don’t have a blower then use the lawnmower itself. I use a bag so I don’t ever have to worry about the clippings going everywhere. But not sure it would bother me that much if I saw my neighbor’s clippings. Luckily, I don’t have neighbors like this. Would this bother you? Do you have a neighbor or neighbors like this? Do you clean up your grass clippings or do you let the chips (clips) just fall where they may?
