I was not a fan of hers a performer at ALL but I’ve been walked thru what happened and I think she had a voice but since this pop sound worked in her hit me baby they said “ no you can’t sing this way live” you don’t sound like that girl on the record. I believe that imo

People aren’t convinced that she only lip-syncs… people are convinced that she’s not a good singer and is in the bottom tier of singers when compared to most that aren’t Madonna, Taylor, Selena Gomez… and were convinced because heard what she can do. It’s karaoke level at best.

But who are these people? If that were the case, she would be forgotten, and some of the artists you mentioned never managed to sell two million albums worldwide.

If it weren't for Spotify, these artists would be forgotten, but Britney will always be there, and she still is, in fact.

Yeah, the problem is that the voice we hear on her albums isn’t her natural voice. Her voice was a musical theater voice, very different from a pop voice. On her first two albums, you can hear the singer she wanted to be with holding notes, adlibs, etc. And she would sing live but when she did, she had to kind of just stand there and mark the choreo. This definitely changed by her third album and lipsynching the record became the norm and the dancing was more full out and complicated and the new songs made it that much harder to sing live. My heart breaks for her every time I think of her. If I had a Time Machine I would go back to Kentwood after she did MMC and tell her not to do any of it. Not worth it. She was such a kind soul and didn’t deserve what happened to her and now she’s just mad and alone.

So her sounding completely identical to every note, breath and tone. Doesn't give it away?

Britney was beautiful, her songs were catchy as hell, and she could dance her absolute ass off. But there’s a reason she started lip syncing all the time, and this is a good example. None of this is in her range, and she has to strain to hit the notes to where it’s unnatural.
