Had she been innocent, she ought to have stayed calm and willingly followed them to the police station, where she would have had every opportunity to prove her innocence. After all, the law is no respecter of persons or gender. Certain heinous crimes can ignite public fury, resulting in brutal assaults or mob justice. Examples include child trafficking, forcing young girls into prostitution, and other despicable acts. These are the very evils that some women perpetrate with alarming frequency in our society today.
