Rubber banding is hell on earth

Playing this game as a kid I thought "this game is hard" only to find out blackbox is just slapping rubberband, forcing players to keep restarting, artificially padding playtime. As a result most post race stats are ruined. Opponents keep having better top speed and fastest lap.

PS2 version had cool effect with the street lights that emulated old tube cameras, such a shame that one effect for some reason isn't on the PC version, it looks so cool

Just yesterday I beat this game, I was stuck in that particular race you are playing in the video for a LONG time and this exact same thing happened to me in one of my cleanest runs, after beating it, I beat almost every race easily until the last race which is also difficult.

replaying this game somewhat recently and got stuck on this race for a bit had to end up driving aggressive and having to crash into them n be defensive
