Same it drives me insane and the beeping that im too close..bitch I've been driving before the dude who invented you was even born🤣

International were the worst, I was wearing basketball shorts that were slick on the seat thank god I wear my seatbelt like this guy, cause my ass started to slide off the seat, when it hard braked for a shadow and went from 65 to 35 almost instantly, sending cars behind me scattering behind me. Yet they are pushing it and autonomous on us

Once a week mine likes to slam on the brakes bc someone turned 10 seconds earlier onto a sode road but still registers theybare in front of me

Oh yeah. I just it when I approach an overpass and suddenly the truck hard brakes just for a second or two. What’s worse is if it makes the load shift. Then you’re left explaining to safety and dispatch why the load was refused because of the hard brake and made the load shift.

Everything on my tractor stopped working and I can’t be happier. I have a Christmas tree on my dash, but nothing is bothering me or trying to take control of the truck. When I take it to the shop I leave a note. DO NOT FIX

Yup, happens to me everyday. The safest thing to do to deactivate the sensor for the moment when it goes off like that is simply just hold down on the fuel pedal. I know it sucks but it works🫤.

100% all of this!

Phantom braking almost put me in the ditch once. Hit the brakes on an icy road and it kicked the truck sideways. Thank god I only had stryofoam one and I was able to bring it back.

Thats mostly and International and freighliner issue. The volvo doesnt have that problem. Im not sure about the Pete or Ken. But yes, I agree, my freighliner freaks out constantly.

🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 I never had to deal with it! It would have been broken the first day! Those that never drove have such stupid ideas!

I hate computers and yes I understand the irony of my statement and I don't care.

@RJFerryJr It gets me about 3 times a week. Usually it perceives a sign on the side of the road or an overpass as an obstruction. Sometimes it’s a car in another lane slowing down to turn. This “safety system” has caused me to brake check countless people. I hate it…

Just wait until it happens when heavy rain or snow on the roads. You will probably end up wrecking and in the ditch. All because of a so called (safety) system. But as usual the driver will be blamed.

I remember everyone embracing the change from "Personnel" to "Human resources." People were intoxicated by the idea of livingt the "Jetsons" life. The funny thing is at the same time the film 1984 was released. By this time, our society was quickly moving away from reading books to watching films at TV.

Abso-fucking-LUTEly!!! All of these so-called safety measures actually have the opposite effect!! Like when someone cuts in too close in front of the truck and makes the proximity sensor start heavy braking!! Maddening!! 😡

I drove one for a day a couple winters ago. Walked away from the truck. Told them to disable it or I was done on day 1. I was done. Fug dat shit.

He sounds awake & alert to me.

Its always great when the radar is loose and tries to see how sore it can make your shoulder. The number of times safety features tried to save me from a trailer parked in the breakdown lane by swerving and trying to put me into oncoming traffic is frightening and I only go like 2-3 miles on a test drive. Let alone when I move towards the shoulder because the other person is super close to the yellow line and it tries to assist me by putting me into said vehicle is insane.

Yes I concur

Nailed it.

I call it panic braking. Dumbasses dont know how to maintain a consistent speed

To many variables/ over Probability or Chance is not the solution.

The control of the vehicle is slowly being taken away from the driver. That was my number one complaint of a new truck. Moving at freeway speed, and the brake reacts to something that it shouldn't puts not only the driver at risk, but also anyone that's behind him.

This is what my neighbor a Walmart driver is saying all the cameras all the sensors taking his ability to drive Plus now a sensor over the driver shaft that is “” keep the truck in the lane and takes over steering

It's all good. The driver will be eliminated from the equation soon enough.

Real talk.

All this garbage needs to stop Nobody even likes this anymore, but nope, full speed ahead on Data Centers and automation of everything, all the time

im so tired of the whining either do something or suffer bitch .
