Destroy build destroy was the shit the Myth busters rip off was Dude What Would Happen

History lesson: this happened because of aqua teen hunger force. An incident where they put up light brights to hype up the movie caused people to think they were bombs which then caused the CEO of Cartoon Network to step down which led to person that would then make live action

it was such a strange time, like every network wanted to have this weird live action mess on their programing block for... no reason?

This decision is what killed any chance of The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy having a proper series finale and the chance Underfist (a spin off) getting an actual series

I don't remember any of those shows except Destroy Build Destory but I also really loved breaking shit and also building shit so I might have had a bias xD

The only exceptions in my mind were those live action Ben 10 movies, mainly because they are still part of the continuity of the actual show

Destroy Build Destroy was peak tv it was just on the wrong channel.

The teen Ghost Hunters show was such a weird choice even ignoring how dumb the idea of doing live action was.

God it’s been a while since I’ve seen the live action stuff but the only one I remember liking was level up. Really got into the game on the CN site

I'm glad to see that a lot of people miss the good ol days of cartoon network, nickalodeon and so on. I remember coming back from school and that's when Toonami aired. Sailor moon, The Big O, Mobile suit gundam Z, Transformers Armada. I can go on and on.

I liked Destroy Build Destroy when I was watching it! I do agree though, it's weird to put live action stuff on a channel called CARTOON Network.

I am glad I didn't have cable as a kid when they hit that era.
