My theory on "non-binary" identities: Some women have extremely low self-esteem, which leads to them being uncomfortable with the idea of femininity. And after all, if women are supposed to be feminine beautiful, but they're not feminine & don't *feel* beautiful, they must not be women. So they reject womanhood in favor of a more neutral label. "Non-binary." Now they don't have to deal with the associations or expectations of being a woman OR a man. As someone who has struggled with self-esteem and body image, I understand the thought process and inclinations. However, being a woman or man isn't something you feel or perform. It's just what you are. Putting on a suit doesn't make you a different gender. I feel for people like Bella Ramsey, but the truth is young women not being comfortable in their own skin is nothing new or revolutionary.

You try to tell guys about this and they don’t understand. I have been the broke guy with women paying for everything for me. I have had women trying to move me into their place when I was in-debt and unemployed. We are talking very attractive women, with plenty of options with men who have jobs, houses, etc. Women are not attracted to money in and of itself. By ‘attracted’, we’re not talking ‘Adonis-tier Chad’ (another widespread Internet rumor); instead, we’re talking: • Cool • Fun • Confident • Sexy • Social skills • Knows what he is ABOUT with a solid male FRAME A little ambition doesn’t hurt, either. No middle or upper class girl wants to date the guy who’s broke and is content to STAY broke. But if you’re down and out but with big dreams, and you’re working on them, that’ll sweep a lot of women right up. Then instead of going for a guy who’s a ‘sure thing’, they get to bet on an up-and-comer. Money’s great to have if you have it. But there are a lot of dudes with money who do not have women. A court was only ever needed to decide what a woman is because men decided they can be women. The law, and society, has always known what a woman is - for better or worse. No one will understand the actual turmoil of going through a court case to establish what a woman is unless you have had to do it. It’s even more stressful than the stupid premise suggests. Sleepless nights, hair falling out, sporadic inconsolable crying fits. But yet, we persist. Because we have to. For Women Scotland have my full admiration, and more. They are right, they have done the right thing and history will remember them on the right side. It’s inevitable. Men will never be women. Never tell women we’re not a reality. We know the reality all too well and will fight to defend it. Women have had to fight for everything we have. We got nothing in law and society by accident. This is just the latest fight, albeit possibly the most stupid. I cannot wait to one day take my daughter to Scotland and show her the inevitable For Women Scotland statue and tell her “they did this for you”. Thank you. And in the words of the late, great, Magdalen Berns, “fuck off you wanker”.
