I have a problem with Xeusthegreat (♟,♟) . And before you start dragging me in the replies, hear me out. It’s not his trading. It’s the fact that thousands can watch a profitable trader and still learn almost nothing about how he actually thinks. A 📽️ +🧵

@Aeonian_trade @juntdoe @solana @superteam Be honest. If you found a trader who was consistently profitable, what would you want most?

@Aeonian_trade @juntdoe @solana @superteam That question bothered me because trading has always been social. We share charts, discuss setups, follow traders and argue about markets every day. Yet when it’s time to actually trade, most platforms make the experience feel surprisingly lonely.

@Aeonian_trade @juntdoe @solana @superteam Then I came across @juntdoe’s thread on why social layers could become the next distribution channel in trading. And suddenly, something clicked. Maybe the next evolution isn't just better trading tools. Maybe it's better ways for traders to connect.

@Aeonian_trade @juntdoe @solana @superteam If that idea interests you, read Juntode’s thread before continuing: It explains the social-layer thesis that helped shape how I started looking at this.

@Aeonian_trade @juntdoe @solana @superteam But I know someone is already asking: “Who exactly is Juntode?” Fair question. Before we build on his ideas, you should know the person behind them and why I think his perspective matters here.

@Aeonian_trade @juntdoe @solana @superteam This thread gives you that context: And honestly, this is where the rabbit hole gets interesting. Because somehow, all of this kept leading me back to Solana.

@Aeonian_trade @juntdoe @solana @superteam If I never went down the Solana rabbit hole, I probably wouldn't have discovered Juntode or ended up researching this idea. So I wrote a beginner-friendly guide to understanding Solana here:

@Aeonian_trade @juntdoe @solana @superteam Now connect the dots. Solana gives us an environment for onchain trading. Traders already build social networks around their trading. And Aeonian is exploring what happens when those two experiences move closer together.

→ WHAT AEONIAN ACTUALLY IS So, what exactly is Aeonian? Aeonian Trade is a social perpetual trading platform. The important word here isn't just “perpetual.” It's “social.” Because trading isn't the only thing happening on the platform. You can trade Solana perpetuals, but you can also discover other traders, follow their activity, share ideas and build your presence within the community. That changes the experience from simply trading against a market to participating around it. And that's the distinction I want you to keep in mind. Aeonian isn't saying traders suddenly need to become social. They already are. The bet is that the platform should reflect the way traders already behave outside of it. Think about it. You trade on one platform. You check X for opinions. You join Telegram or Discord for conversations. You watch YouTube or streams to learn. Aeonian is exploring what happens when more of that experience comes together.

→ SOLANA PERPETUALS + WHO IT’S FOR Now that we know what Aeonian is, let's talk about what actually happens on it. Aeonian is built around Solana perpetuals, so understanding perpetuals makes the rest of the platform much easier to understand. Let's make perpetuals simple. A perpetual is basically a futures contract without an expiry date. Instead of buying SOL itself, you can trade based on whether you expect its price to move up or down. That matters because perpetuals let traders take positions around price movements without simply buying and holding the underlying asset. And this is the market Aeonian is building its social experience around. So who is Aeonian for? Primarily, traders who want to trade Solana perpetuals while also having more ways to discover other traders, exchange ideas and participate in the community around those markets. And not every trader wants the same thing. Some want execution. Some want information. Some want to learn from other traders. Some already create trading content. A social platform can bring these behaviours closer together. But there’s a catch. Social trading shouldn't mean blindly copying whoever has the biggest PnL. A profitable trader can still be wrong. The value should be discovery, context and interaction, not outsourcing your judgement.

→ TRADER PROFILES + DISCOVERY Now that we know what is being traded and who it's for, another question becomes obvious. How do you actually find the people worth paying attention to? That's where Aeonian's trader profiles come in. Imagine you find a trader whose analysis makes you stop and think. On a normal trading platform, you might see their position and never encounter them again. Aeonian gives that trader a profile and a presence you can actually discover. That means you're not limited to seeing isolated trades. You can discover traders, look at their activity and decide who you want to follow. One interesting interaction can therefore become an ongoing connection. And I think this solves a small but important problem. Trading information is everywhere. The harder part is finding people whose thinking you actually want to keep up with. Discovery makes that process more intentional. Then following closes the loop. You find someone useful. You follow them. Their activity becomes easier to discover. Over time, you start building a personal network around the kind of trading information you care about.

→ POSTS + SOCIAL INTERACTION But profiles alone don't make a social platform. You need somewhere for those traders to actually talk. That's where Aeonian's posts, status updates, likes and replies become important. Aeonian gives traders a place to share posts and status updates around the markets they're watching. That means a trader's thinking doesn't have to stay hidden behind a position. They can actually explain what they're seeing. Then other traders can respond. They can like an idea, reply to it, challenge the thesis or add another perspective. One trader's market view can become a conversation instead of remaining a thought sitting inside their own head. And this connects directly to my original Samuel problem. Watching a profitable trader tells you what happened. Following their ideas and interacting with them can give you more context around how they think. Of course, there is another side to this. A social layer can spread bad ideas just as quickly as good ones. So the goal isn't to replace your judgement. It's to make discovery, discussion and learning easier.

@Aeonian_trade @juntdoe @solana @superteam And now we're getting somewhere. We have the market. We have traders. We have discovery. We have conversation. But Aeonian also has another mechanism designed to encourage participation. That's where Rewards and Referrals come in. ↡↡

Let’s continue. We’ve established that Aeonian is trying to make trading more social. But a social platform needs more than profiles and conversations. People need reasons to participate, return and bring others into the ecosystem. That’s where Rewards and Referrals enter. → REWARDS + REFERRALS Think about most trading platforms. You trade. You close your position. You leave. The relationship often ends with the transaction. Aeonian is experimenting with a different loop where participation itself can become part of the experience. Rewards can give users another reason to stay active around the platform. Referrals add another layer by giving users an incentive to bring people into the ecosystem. Together, they can turn individual users into participants in the network's growth. But there's something important here. Rewards shouldn't become the reason people trade. If incentives encourage users to take unnecessary positions just to farm rewards, the system creates activity without creating meaningful value. The quality of participation matters. Referrals are similar. The strongest referral systems don't simply pay people for sending links. They create a reason to invite someone because the product becomes more useful when more relevant people are around you. That's especially interesting for a social trading platform.

→ LIVESTREAMS Now we get to the feature I’m personally most curious about. Livestreams. Because there is a massive difference between seeing someone's final trade and watching them make the decision. And that difference matters. A post usually shows you the conclusion. “I'm bullish.” “I'm short.” “SOL looks ready to break out.” Useful, sure. But you don't always see everything that happened before that conclusion. A livestream can show the process. You can watch a trader analyse the chart, hesitate, change their mind, react to volatility and explain why they're adjusting their position. The thinking becomes visible instead of just the outcome. And that brings us back to @SamuelXeus . Thousands of people can watch a profitable trader. But watching the PnL isn't the same as understanding the decision-making behind it. Livestreams can potentially close some of that gap. It also creates a different relationship between trader and audience. Viewers aren't just consuming a finished idea. They can interact in real time, ask questions and watch the trader respond while the market is still moving. And timing matters. According to DeFiLlama, perp DEXs are currently processing roughly $17B in 24-hour volume, with about $565B over 30 days. The market clearly doesn't lack activity. The question is what experience gets built around it. Solana is even more interesting. Recent reporting put Solana perpetual futures above $1T in cumulative volume, with Jupiter Perps accounting for roughly 80% of Solana perp volume. That tells me the demand for Solana perps is already real. But don't confuse market size with Aeonian's market share. A $1T market doesn't mean Aeonian captures $1B. The opportunity is that an already-active market gives Aeonian something valuable to build around: traders who already have reasons to trade, learn and interact.

→ WHY THE SOCIAL LAYER MATTERS Now step back for a second. The interesting part of Aeonian isn't simply that it added social features to a trading terminal. It's that trading behaviour was already social before platforms decided to formalise it. Think about your own trading workflow. You might discover a setup on X. Check someone's opinion. Open a chart. Ask a friend. Join a Discord. Watch a trader. Then execute somewhere completely different. The behaviour is fragmented. Aeonian's thesis is essentially: What happens when more of those behaviours exist around the trading experience itself? Not because traders suddenly became social. But because the infrastructure finally starts reflecting what traders were already doing. And this could create a different kind of network effect. More traders can mean more ideas. More ideas can mean more conversations. More conversations can attract more traders. More traders can make discovery more useful. The loop starts feeding itself. But there is a danger. Social trading can create FOMO, herd behaviour and popularity contests. The trader with the biggest following isn't automatically the best trader. So the social layer has to improve discovery without encouraging people to switch off their own judgement. That's why I keep coming back to one distinction: Copying a trader is not the same as understanding a trader. Aeonian becomes more interesting when the platform helps people discover context, process and perspective rather than simply chasing green numbers.

→ STAKING $AEONN There’s another piece of the Aeonian ecosystem worth watching. Staking is live. You can lock $AEONN and earn SOL. But the interesting part isn't simply “earn SOL.” It’s where that SOL is supposed to come from. According to Aeonian's stated staking terms, stakers will receive 40% of Aeonian platform revenue. That's different from simply distributing more token emissions. The model connects staking rewards to the revenue generated by the platform. And this distinction matters. Emissions can create the appearance of yield while increasing token supply. Revenue sharing ties the reward mechanism to actual platform activity. But there is still one number you have to watch: How much revenue does Aeonian actually generate? Because 40% of platform revenue sounds impressive in isolation. But the actual amount received by stakers depends on the revenue generated, the amount being staked and how the distribution works. So I wouldn't treat “40%” as a guaranteed APY. I'd treat it as the mechanism. And this brings the entire thesis back together. If Aeonian grows trading activity, social participation, referrals and livestream engagement, the platform potentially has more ways to generate revenue. That creates a direct question around whether the ecosystem can turn usage into sustainable value.

→ THE BIGGER PICTURE So let's return to where this thread started. Why was I bothered by watching profitable traders without understanding how they think? Because trading information has never been scarce. The problem is that the useful context is often scattered everywhere. X has the opinions. Telegram has the conversations. Discord has the communities. YouTube has the education. Trading platforms have the execution. Aeonian is betting that these experiences don't have to remain completely separate. And the numbers suggest there's already a massive market to build around. Billions of dollars move through perpetual markets. Solana alone has crossed $1T in cumulative perp volume. The opportunity isn't convincing people that trading exists. It's improving what happens around the trade. That’s why I think the social layer deserves attention. Not because putting a feed beside a trading terminal magically creates a better product. But because traders already behave socially. The interesting question is whether Aeonian can build infrastructure around that behaviour. And Livestreams make that thesis even more interesting. A chart shows you the market. A trade shows you the decision. A post can show you the conclusion. But watching someone navigate uncertainty in real time can show you something completely different. Then there’s staking. Lock $AEONN . Earn SOL. And, according to Aeonian's stated terms, stakers receive 40% of platform revenue. Now the question becomes less about token incentives and more about whether the platform can generate meaningful revenue.

And that brings me back to @SamuelXeus . Maybe the problem isn't that profitable traders aren't sharing enough. Maybe we've simply built trading platforms around execution when traders have always wanted something more. They want to discover. They want to learn. They want to interact. Trading is already social. Aeonian is betting the infrastructure should finally reflect that. That's the thesis I'm watching. And honestly, I think it's worth watching closely. Aeonian Livestreams are launching soon. If you want to see where this goes, visit and follow @Aeonian_trade. I'll be watching the product, the numbers and the community as it develops. by the way here's what the interface looks like ↡

@SamuelXeus @Aeonian_trade @juntdoe @solana @superteam My favorite feature is the social layer because it turns trading from something you simply watch into something you can actually learn through. Seeing the reasoning, debating ideas, and getting different perspectives adds real context beyond just the numbers.

@SamuelXeus @Aeonian_trade @juntdoe @solana @superteam Watching someone win is one thing. Understanding why they made the move is where the real learning happens.

@SamuelXeus @Aeonian_trade @juntdoe @solana @superteam @SamuelXeus highlights a common trap where observers mimic successful trades instead of learning how to actually analyze the market.

@SamuelXeus @Aeonian_trade @juntdoe @solana @superteam watching someone win isn’t the same as learning how they think

@SamuelXeus @Aeonian_trade @juntdoe @solana @superteam That’s actually an interesting point

@SamuelXeus @Aeonian_trade @juntdoe @solana @superteam Ok resolve your problem with xeus

@SamuelXeus @Aeonian_trade @juntdoe @solana @superteam the missing piece between watching good traders and actually learning how they think.

@SamuelXeus @Aeonian_trade @juntdoe @solana @superteam The real value isn't watching profitable trades; it's understanding the decisions, reasoning, and process behind them.

@SamuelXeus @Aeonian_trade @juntdoe @solana @superteam Longest thread on ct 😂

@SamuelXeus @Aeonian_trade @juntdoe @solana @superteam this is an impressive video thread

@SamuelXeus @Aeonian_trade @juntdoe @solana @superteam Observing profitable traders without understanding mechanics teaches little.

@SamuelXeus @Aeonian_trade @juntdoe @solana @superteam watching isn’t the same as thinking like him

@SamuelXeus @Aeonian_trade @juntdoe @solana @superteam The strategy behind the trade is often more valuable than the profit. 👀📈

@SamuelXeus @Aeonian_trade @juntdoe @solana @superteam Profitable trades show the result. The real value is understanding the thinking that got you there.

@SamuelXeus @Aeonian_trade @juntdoe @solana @superteam Thanks for the insight

@SamuelXeus @Aeonian_trade @juntdoe @solana @superteam Watching someone win isn’t the same as understanding their process, the real value is learning how they think

@SamuelXeus @Aeonian_trade @juntdoe @solana @superteam the real issue is learning the thinking behind profitable decisions.

@SamuelXeus @Aeonian_trade @juntdoe @solana @superteam Very detailed

@SamuelXeus @Aeonian_trade @juntdoe @solana @superteam Watching isn’t the same as learning

@SamuelXeus @Aeonian_trade @juntdoe @solana @superteam Thanks for the Breakdown legend.

@SamuelXeus @Aeonian_trade @juntdoe @solana @superteam The idea of social trading look very good for beginners who are willing to trade but they what startegy to use they can actually copy trade from those who know it

@SamuelXeus @Aeonian_trade @juntdoe @solana @superteam Watching winning trades isn't the same as understanding winning decisions.

@SamuelXeus @Aeonian_trade @juntdoe @solana @superteam Well detailed

@SamuelXeus @Aeonian_trade @juntdoe @solana @superteam U just broke them well

@SamuelXeus @Aeonian_trade @juntdoe @solana @superteam Hehe, your hook is literally hooking 😂😂

@SamuelXeus @Aeonian_trade @juntdoe @solana @superteam Watching someone win is easy; understanding the thinking behind those decisions is where the real learning happens.

@SamuelXeus @Aeonian_trade @juntdoe @solana @superteam Watching profitable trades is easy, but understanding the thinking behind each decision is where real learning happens.

@SamuelXeus @Aeonian_trade @juntdoe @solana @superteam Nice breakdown

@SamuelXeus @Aeonian_trade @juntdoe @solana @superteam Nice breakdown. The social layer could be the missing piece

@SamuelXeus @Aeonian_trade @juntdoe @solana @superteam That’s a valid criticism

@SamuelXeus @Aeonian_trade @juntdoe @solana @superteam PnL is the highlight reel. Process is the actual product. Most terminals only sell the first one.
