The government and train companies have plans to close nearly one thousand ticket offices across the rail network. The train companies in England have opened up public consultations until 1st September, where we have the opportunity to voice our objections.

It's been going on for years. Many places don't have staff or offices anyway. Pity that wasn't pushed before but I guess rural lines were lost a long time ago anyway.

Please remember that anyone at anytime can become disabled, if you don't care now, it will be to late when you do need it.

I have nothing against disabled people, I have a disability myself. What I am against is technological luddites. Ticket Offices + Guards on the train are a thing of the past. Only 0.6% of the Population use ticket offices. Ticket systems have moved on. About time Unions did 2!
