I have this too. It helps me so much. And makes lots of things so much easier. I’m strangely proud of ‘my’ exercise book. And doing the work alongside them throws up all kinds up things to think about.

I love when their work is better than mine. We did some GCSE questions recently and many of them has better examples than me.

I have been thinking of doing the exact same to support students with book presentation scholarship and to fully model thinking, exploring, explaining and answering questions. Using the visualiser really helps. Do you find it effective? How do students respond?

It works in so many unexpected ways. As well as modelling it also keeps up the pace but in a realistic way as often I am doing the same thing as them. I do have a standing desk that I work at which helps me work with the class but still be stood in a good viewing position.

Love this idea, but my presentation skills are shocking (dyslexia accounts for part of this). Wish I could produce something like this

I do this for KS3 too. As well as modelling, it helps me to evaluate my teaching resources. I can improve the ppt for the next time I teach the same lesson - great when you teach x6 of year 7/8/9. Helps me to improve the layout of my booklets too 😊🙏🏼

A visualiser and an exercise book for each class, coupled with a booklet is brilliant. It organises everything. I never lose track of what we've done/what's next. And I can "post" myself notes for the next class. Just brilliant.

I did this and it was the most effective thing I think I did for both the children and myself!
