John Methu: If I die someday, I would want politicians to come and play a lot of politics at my funeral because I am a politician. My family must acknowledge and appreciate that I have been speaking at so many funerals. It cannot be that I have been speaking in so many funerals, but I do not want them to speak in mine. I lost my dad, and people came to bury my dad on the 2nd of January 2024, and there were many politicians. I never heard anybody from my family complain that politicians came to that funeral. I would never have forgiven myself if I left that podium without mentioning the things I had been sent by the people of Nyandarua #CitizenSundayLive

I filmed the general strike in Athens from many different streets and from many different angles. For 4 years I have been following the street mobilisation in Athens and I can say that this is the biggest crowd I have ever seen. There are anti-government slogans all over the streets of the city. ROSALÍA talks about what it was like to learn 13 languages to sing the songs on her new album “LUX”. “I speak a little Catalan because it’s my mother tongue. I speak a little Spanish and barely any English, but, you know… I love learning. I love learning things. So I wanted to learn different languages for a long time. I’ve been practicing on Duolingo, you know. But sometimes I’m like, ‘I need to do more.’ So while I was trying to figure out what the concept would be, because I was curious about learning from other cultures and how spirituality can be understood in many different places around the world in different ways, I was learning about different saints from all over the world. And I was reading, reading, reading so many hagiographies, hagiographies. Then I thought, ‘OK, let me put a map on the wall.’ Let me pin different stories, different women from around the world. And if I was making a song inspired by Joan of Arc, then I would do it in French. So depending on the story I wanted to reference, I would use one language or another. And then I would write about 20 different verse options and send them to a translator, a proper translator, get them back, tweak things, record, and then send them to people who would correct the pronunciation, all of it.”
