Madrasi means a person from Madras Ghaati means a person from the ghats But these are derogatory terms. Slurs and epithets carry hate not literally but by association and usage. A.child knows azaadi means freedom but for over 35 years it has been used to express hate for Hindus & to justify violence against them. It's been used for supporting breaking India. You probably have professors who believe language is violence but you hide behind the childish defence that violent language is to be taken only literally?
