I have constituents who live in shelters, despite working multiple minimum wage jobs for the wealthiest corporations. $44,000 a year is not a radical wage in New York State. It’s sound economics to lift from the bottom and #RaiseTheWage.

@WTEN Raising the wages isn't helping. My health insurance went up $70 last year, my car insurance, $45 from the last cycle, heating oil, electric, dental insurance, food, all up. Why? Taxes & employers having to pay more for wages. Simply raising the pay is helping increase inflation.

@WTEN And raising the minimum wage won't accomplish anything as long as the free spending bureaucrats in Albany continue raising taxes and passing mandates that raise the cost of living. (Banning gas stoves, "green" energy, etc.)

@WTEN Have there been any productivity gains to justify this? If no, then you're just adding to our inflation mess while decreasing employment as more automation will come online and eliminate jobs.

@WTEN Are we also going to link it to deflation? Or is this just a one way street? How about we link it to a minimum standard. Say a high school diploma with grade level reading, writing, & math capabilities. A minimum wage should come with some minimum standards.

@WTEN You & your @nywfp comrades in the legislature just gave yourselves a $32,000.00 pay raise after just getting a $50,000.00 raise in 2019 & you continue to increase taxes tolls & fees on middle class. All while your constituents struggle? You expect us to think YOU feel our pain?
