I have had the WORST experience with pool companies since installing my pool in 2015. Last summer I only got to swim TWICE as I believe the pool company sold me the wrong chemicals to sabotage me because of my political affiliations. Not even kidding. I was with them... for five years and could tell something was off. They were borderline disrespectful. But I’m all like, look homie. I just want a clean pool to swim in. It’s really not that deep. I taught myself how to maintain my pool in about a week. Seriously bro it’s not hard. The company the sellers of the house were using were trash and had everything out of balance, pretty typical actually.

We just had our pool installed last year and at first thought it would be wise to have someone maintain it. But after realizing how dead-simple it is to check your waters chemistry, I do it all myself. Even made my own pool maintenance excel sheet where I input my readings, and it spits out dosages (if needed)

Make it a saltwater pool and be done with it. I can't believe how many people are so stupid they're still using chemical pools. Assault water pool you put salt in it once a year and it stays crystal clear year round

I do my own pool service now. At first the pool guy charged 75 a month Then all of the sudden 90 Then it went to 130 then I started getting separate bills for chems and filter cleaning at 150. Finally I said enough is enough started doing it myself.

When I had a home with a pool, every 10 days I would take a empty water bottle and fill it with pool water. Take the bottle to the pool store. The store would pour the water into a machine and I’d receive a print out of materials I needed to buy to treat the water. Also in the print out were detailed steps to do, times to add which chemicals when, when to vacuum, black flush etc. it can be frustrating but I found the best way is to do this or hire a weekly pool service co.

If all you do is make vids, you have time to maintain your pool. I work 50-60 a week & maintain mine on weekends.

Put some copper pipe pieces in it for a little bit and see what happens, won't hurt it and it just might work. I've had a piece in my dog's outside water bowl for a week now and Zero algae! Wouldn't hurt to try it, much cheaper option if it would work 🤷‍♀️
