The wildest, most subtle foreshadowing was that Judge Doom never blinks in the movie before that, supposedly hinting at the fact that he's a toon the whole time. Friggin' genius movie.

I agree that that scene was just so creepy when I killed your brother. This is my top traumatizing childhood experience. Don’t go under the stairs.

This scene helped to create a whole new generation of horror fans and they didn't know it until it was too late.
