I have spent years standing with doctors on the streets, at negotiation tables and in difficult conversations where the welfare and dignity of our medics were at stake. I have seen what happens when you choose to stand up, even when it is difficult. I have taken the risks,... faced the pressure and kept showing up because I believe leadership is about standing with people, especially when they need you most. The fight for doctors taught me something simple: when you are entrusted with the responsibility to serve, you cannot afford to look away. That same spirit is what I am bringing home to Lang’ata. The arena may change, but my commitment does not. The people may be different, but the principle remains the same, listen, stand with the people, and get to work. I am not coming to Lang’ata to be another politician. I am coming with the same courage, energy and determination that I have carried into every fight for our doctors. The work continues. I’m writing this while I’m still in it. Still stressed. Still exhausted. Still after crying. And I’m still working through the night. I need people to understand what this really looks like. The posts you see do not come from some calm, quiet, comfortable life. They are written in the middle of pressure, fatigue, sickness, grief, and responsibility. I take a photo, I write my story, and I post it. Then I keep working. Because I have to. Because my guys need me. Because I cannot give up. Because if I stop, the consequences are real. Every single day, I make the choice to stay here. And yes, sometimes that choice hurts. I am human. I know I could go home. I know there is a beautiful life waiting for me somewhere else. I know what I am missing. I know what rest could look like. I know what peace could feel like. But I stay. I stay because my boys cannot simply go home. I stay because they do not have the freedoms I have as a foreigner under contract. I stay because love is not a feeling here. Love is duty. Love is sacrifice. Love is showing up again and again, even when you are breaking. Right now, I am doing the work of five or six people in this brigade. Not because I have endless strength. Not because I never fall apart. Not because I am some kind of machine. I do it because I care that much. I do it because I am passionate, because I believe in #Ukraine I am a soldier. Look around you and see how people react. How they talk, how they look at you, how they judge you, what they do. Do they look at themselves, do they start to criticise other people? “Look around and you're going to learn the environment and the people that you have around you. “I cannot be prouder to work in a club with people that the only thing they could do is ask, what else can I do to help? “When you have people like this, I don't know if it's gonna take another week or two, but something good it will happen at the end because we deserve it.”

“When people were saying in the testimony, that the hope they have is that what happened here 30 something years ago will never happen again. It won’t, not because those who were responsible for that dark past will not try again or are not even trying now again. It will not happen again just because there will be people who will stand up and fight. It’s not because there are fewer people who wish for us to perish or who would have wished for this country to disappear. How can people accept that? What kind of people do not stand up and fight? There is a risk of dying when you stand up and fight but if you don’t, it’s a sure thing: you are going to die. So why don’t I try to stand up and fight with the chance that I might survive and live life as I want it, instead of giving up and you let people treat you as if for you to live, it is a favour that they are going to do for you. Why? But my message goes to other Africans who live like this on a daily basis, who are dehumanized and they accept it and they beg. I can't beg to live. I can't beg anybody. We’ll fight, If I lose, I lose. But there is a chance. There is a chance, a significant chance, that if you stand up and fight, you will live. Just In: Elon Musk just claims he can see the future and history will prove him right. "I am very good at predicting the future. I am not perfect, but my success rate is very high for a human being. This creates something of a Cassandra effect: people do not believe what I say is likely to happen, because I can see the future with a higher probability of success than most people. That includes outcomes that may seem counterintuitive. I am not saying that I am always right. I certainly am not. But my success rate is very good. The Cassandra effect is that people do not realize what I am saying will come to pass. It may not happen exactly when I expect it to, but it will happen. History will deliver the verdict, but I think you will find that very little of what I have said is inaccurate. A large majority of what I have said is accurate and will come to pass, unless the direction changes."

Kim: Yeah, look, I mean, first and foremost, especially when it comes to abuse, sexual abuse, and sexual assault, this should not be about politics at all. This is about people’s safety. It’s about making sure victims have justice and accountability, and that this doesn’t happen anymore. You know, I actually worked here when I was younger as a graduate student fellow. We should never allow any of that when it comes to the staff or anywhere else. People should feel safe here at the Capitol. Again, this is somewhere where I think we need to make sure we’re showing accountability. I’m going to do everything I can on the Democratic side to push in that direction and stand up, especially when it’s very clear that something is not in line with our values or our laws. I push Republicans to do the same. I wish I had greater sway on that side to be able to enforce that, but they need to step up more, and we all need to step up more to make it clear that this is unacceptable.
