I haven't seen a single post on my timeline about the #WalkForPeace being done by 20 Bhuddist Monks and their companion pup Aloka from Texas to Washington. Every video I watch brings me close to tears because they fully understand what's happening politically and what's at stake.

I was going through the #WalkForPeace account last night and saw the monks welcoming another in a wheelchair. Phra Ajarnh Maha Dam Phommasan was part of their cohort who was struck by a vehicle over taking their support van. His leg had to be amputed.

If the #WalkForPeace passes in your area, their support vehicles are currently full so they're not accepting food and supplies. You can give them a token like flowers or something with meaning to you and respectfully say, "Please take this." as they don't ask for material things.

I took my daughter and my niece to see them at the temple yesterday. We got to hear them talk about their journey, deliberately and openly. Everyone in attendance was in a state of grace. Healing is possible. We must make it a priority as peace for all should be the goal.

I once met the Dalai Lama's nephew by chance as he was walking for Tibet on his way through Ohio towards Indiana. We were appropriately in a tiny town called New Hope. I didn't bother him, but I'll never forget the sight and his determination. It took incredible endurance to walk that far. Tragically he gave his life for the cause when he was struck by a vehicle and killed in Florida.

Wow. Respect.

They're doing an amazing thing for people and society.

@BitchMeansWell How can you tell what folks understand by them just walking???? @tn_deedee @grok @_Re_UPS @Monksonthe_Moon @Bible365_

@CarrieCnh12 @BitchMeansWell @tn_deedee @_Re_UPS @Monksonthe_Moon @Bible365_ The monks' from Texas to DC promotes unity, compassion, and healing, as stated in their announcements and interviews. Understanding comes from their expressed intentions and interactions along the route, beyond just the walking itself. More at

About 25 years ago, I had the privilege to be an escort rider for a group of monks who followed the AIDSRide route. Brought them safely through Chicago. Later a Katah was given to me blessed by his holiness, the Dalhi Lama. I never ride without it.

I've not seen it either, until I saw your post, so thank you for spreading knowledge. Ppl mock us, saying "all you do is tweet", but that 1 tweet is like 1 drop of water in the grand Pacific Ocean✊🏼

Thank you. I believe that, too.

Thank you for sharing this! I hadn’t seen it and it’s exactly what my heart needed today.

I saw them in Decatur, GA and the next day the walked by the main street I live off of. Such a blessing 🙌🏼 peace. #WalkForPeace ☮️

Miracles do happen because these Monks evaded ICE & Christian Nationalists from Texas to D.C

Same, they are all over my instagram!!!!

I see the posts mostly on my Threads timeline

I am following it. Finding it very moving

I’ve seen it all over Instagram. A couple people I know were able to see them on their walk through Georgia. Looked like nice crowds greeting them along the way!

Grok told me, that it is not a walk of peace but a movement from one monastery to another. Grok should be labelled as propaganda

In Colorado during the 80s, one Bhuddist monk, beating a drum, walked almost daily down highway 93 in front of Rocky Flats. Plutonium triggers for nukes were made there. This went on for years. Little by little the people protested and finally it was closed.

The Peace of God/Love/Source for which these Monks walk transcends politics and the world. Peace which is an aspect of Love is who we all are at our essence. The walk for Peace is reminder of who we truly are; Love 🌸💙🙏🏼

The ruling class would like to keep this on the downlow. They wouldn't want to promote this when all they really want is war.

Our #TorontoBuddhistCommunity here in #Canada have been following this and giving them support Carolyn. Thankyou for mentioning . In #Toronto we still have to work for our civil and human rights . @cbcnews We keep walking for #Peace @MarkJCarney Yes Aloka is a wonderful pup .

It's all just potluck on here - those monks did show on my timeline a gew times already. It's people like them who keep the finger at the pulse of the world's conscience.

@BurnettCynthia I saw one yesterday or the day before but it wasn't clear who they were and what they were doing. Thank you for clarifying that.

This is courage beyond words. I see people walking behind them in solidarity. Imagine a statement it would make if thousands upon thousands followed them on their journey. It has a common purpose. This strength says more than words…for a great purpose.

There are lots of videos of them on Tiktok. Idk why you’d be surprised that it wouldnt be pushed in this cursed algorithm.

A kind Twitter friend sent me this:

The emotion of watching this is so beautiful

The capital. Their end point is the white house in February.

They’re in Walton County GA spending the night at the Fire Station. We saw them briefly. I balled out crying. May God heal our land and peace be upon us

I saw a video on Tiktok. Apparently they were harassed in Alabama or something like that. People had to run to their protection.

It is so peaceful to watch them and see everyone come out and bring them medical supplies fresh fruit. It truly is amazing and I loved watching them walk through my hometown yesterday.

This is only the second post I’ve seen of the Monks.

They walked through my hometown and their presence has moved so many people! Lifting people up and reminding us of peace, hope & harmony.

You do realize they are walking here because all the countries that they really need this walk in they would be killed.

@gothicdisco There was an article about them in today’s Seattle Times.
