I honestly don't have a problem with Texas not getting in, I have a problem with the committee...

Minor correction: you said the only team close to Texas’ quality wins was Texas Tech but Georgia and Alabama each have two wins against other teams currently in playoff contention. This doesn’t go against your point. You’re right. Texas has played the most games against these teams currently considered to be “playoff-level” teams and our record is 3-2. More than any other team currently in the playoff-hunt, Texas has proven on the field that they are a playoff team. It would be ridiculous to leave them out. Committee has a chance to be consistent and do right by the sport. But they have to have the guts to do what’s unpopular and unprecedented.

Stoppppp we only have 12 games . LOSSES HAVE TO COUNT. We have 136 teams and 10 conferences. Either don’t schedule osu or beat Florida… September is supposed to be for DAVID VS GOLIATH games anyways . I don’t need made for tv exhibition games. PERIOD

@SSN_TexasState If it’s a tie breaker. Like Miami and ND. Not for 9-3. Don’t lost to bad teams. There’s a good amount of 10-2 teams that understood that pretty clear.

@SSN_TexasState That’s what I’m saying lol Miami should be in over ND

Playing like one of the best teams in country? What happened in Georgia? How many did they give up against Arkansas that had a hurt QB? The narrative never ends

Profilbild von Cory Mose

@TorqueBaseB Down by 4 going into the 4th… Played Arkansas without All-American LB and lost their other LB cause of a targeting call. Still put up 52 points…

Profilbild von p/p

Did you see Arkansas’s injury report against Texas? And they lost their last RB in the 1st half. Just stop. A&M can also make an excuse they haven’t had their star RB for several weeks. Injuries are part of the game

Using Miami as the counterpoint to Texas losing to Florida when Miami lost to 2 unranked teams and isn't even playing in their own conference championship?

Profilbild von J Hughes

Quality wins get cancelled by loses to Unranked Florida. 2 OT wins against Kentucky and Miss State. Plus UGA boot stomped TX by 25. Lastly playing Ohio State. Was a gamble and Texas lost. Can’t tell the dealer you just barely lost

Profilbild von Ag

Which win would you like valued with those losses, was it the OT over Kentucky, or the OT over Mississippi State that should vault you in?

“If you actually watched the games”. We did watch the games. That’s the problem. We watched the Kentucky game. We watched the Miss State game. We watched the Georgia game. We watched you nearly fumble away the Vandy game…

Just because? lol no, you're a special kind of stupid aren't you? It's because they lost to Florida. Its because they couldn't beat 5 win Kentucky or 5 win Mississippi St in regulation. You play who you schedule, put your big boy pants on and take it like a man.

That's not true. The loss to OSU is not what's hurting Texas. The UF loss and going to OT against bottom teams like MSU and Kentucky are bigger factors. If OSU and UGA are the only Ls they are in top 10 easy. The month of Oct was full of mediocre performances for UT

@MiyagiTexas No they are on the outside looking in because they lost to Ohio State, Florida, and Georgia. Then over time with two shitty teams and struggled in other games with shitty teams. Be honest, no other with 3 losses should trump p4 2 loss teams

Texas looked great in the second half against A&M. Before that, they allowed 37 to the worst team in the SEC, got blown out at UGA after a bye week and held on by the skin of their teeth at home against Vandy. Throw in loss to FL, OT w/ State and UK..they aren’t that great.

This right here is the best argument I’ve seen. Not Oklahoma getting in over Texas. Notre Dame is the issue, the committee is the issue. Notre Dame didn’t truly beat anyone of note. Also agree 100 percent on Miami.

Lost to terrible Florida team and two very bad “wins” needing overtime to beat Kentucky and Mississippi State. That’s why 3 loss team can’t get in

TEXAS IS NOT GETTING IN THE PLAYOFFS Bro you lost to one of the worst teams in college football this year the Florida gators and y'all will not stop whining about the loss to OHIO STATE

Profilbild von Lane

Stop the BS bruh you can’t lose to a 3 win Florida simple as that. Why are we acting like it’s too much to ask for a team that was ranked preseason #1 to go 10-2 regardless of what their schedule was and not get blown out by Georgia and go to OT with Kentucky

Texas does not deserve to be in the CFP they have done nothing to earn that do they have some quality wins. Yes did they lose to a team that was so bad they fired their coach this year yes. There are teams that are much better that will be in the CFP and if Texas is in it that just shows the level of corruption.

Well said, brother. We'll see today if the committee honors their own rules. Miami should be ahead of Notre Dame, and I'm the CFB.

Best solution is go to a top 25 playoff with a first and second round byes for the top 2 tiers imho. Too many teams with good arguments to get in. I agree Texas at the end of the season is playoff worthy

They are not on the outside bc they lost to OSU. They were #10 even after losses and near losses to Flo, msu, Ky. They then got crushed by Georgia. That is why they are on the outside.

These 4 games is what put Texas behind the 8 ball and in terms of eye test they largely haven’t been playing like one of the best teams they’ve largely been really good at home and bad on the road too much inconsistency on their part
