The biggest mistake I made in my early career was that I would hire people because I liked them on gut, and I would think that I could change them. Like in romantic relationships. It never works out well. If you get married to someone and you go, okay well, this is gonna be a great relationship as long as I can convert them to Christianity, or I can change their parents, or their personality, or whatever it is. This was awesome. I got the opportunity to describe to Rick Rubin how I make Founders podcast: “Steph Curry was asked: What do you think of when you're taking a shot? And he said: Absolutely nothing. I’ve had people ask me how I choose what to highlight. What are you thinking of when you're doing this? And my response is: Nothing. I just read and if something jumps out to me I don't think at all, I just underline it. And then I'll go back through and reread all my highlights. And if that part is still interesting, it was interesting the first time, now it's interesting the second time, it's probably interesting to other people. There's 10 million mes out there. I'm not unique. And there's no way that if I read this line twice and found it interesting that if I read it on a podcast that somebody else is not going to think it's interesting too. If I overthink it or if I think of “oh this person might hear it” or “oh this many people will hear it” that gets in the way. I'm thinking of nothing.”

👤 what kind of drama will the two of you remember ‘lovely runner’ as? 💙 for me, honestly.. although i really like lovely runner as a drama, i really really like sunjae that it's almost like love. so for me, he's someone i won't be able to forget for the rest of my life. so with that, i think the drama itself is a drama i won't forget. also, in the future too, i think it's a drama i'll keep watching. even now at dawn, sometimes i look it up myself especially when i couldn't sleep around 3 to 4am.. yeah, there are times like that. 💛 to me, lovely runner is like a diary. the sides of me that i was able to show at that time, as well as the atmosphere.. although it's already been a year, if i'm asked to do it right this instant, i wonder if i'll be able to do it. because i think i was able to record how i was at that time (through the drama), i feel like it's a drama that contains my 29-year old self so it's a drama that i'll miss a lot.
