A lot of people suggested I try steamed eggs in my instant pot and I discovered there are definitely some advantages. I only need a cup of water and since I use filtered water, it’s a lot less taxing. Peeling the eggs is about 20% easier than my method. The biggest drawback I can think of is it might be harder to get the eggs exactly how I want since I’m cooking in one minute increments. For example, these three minute, low pressure eggs had perfect jammy centers and I wanted it a little bit runnier. Will two minute eggs get it there or will it be too runny. I guess I’ll have to see.

Once female emus lay eggs, they leave it to the male and start looking for another male. After mating, they lay eggs for that one to look after too. They keep doing this as much as they can till the mating season is over. It's the male that'll look after the eggs and the chicks when they hatch. The female only lays egg and move on. Tainkyu ✌🏾
