I hate to admit this but I have a heated driveway on one of my properties. When you live in northern Michigan and on top of a large hill it keeps the wife safe from sliding down into traffic. It’s really not that expensive to run but I run just the driveway area.

I did this to my house over a long weekend and $3275 in materials. Bonus I tapped into my neighbors hot water.

Heated driveways don't have to be THAT expensive... but honestly I totally get it. I want one myself. Solves all the annoying "go out and snowblow" routines and just makes life so much better. I would say for an average size driveway you're looking more around 15k to do that.
