Hmm.. Another sign that I'm being too hard on myself (and others). For a Computer Science background, I expect myself to group the months together, like 3*31 + 2*30 + 28 and calculate directly from there, instead of month by month.

As an economics just take the number of days in June and July and look for the median, you are done

A grade 6 indian school student can do that. It has nothing to do with CS background or stanford.

She could have just split the months of a year into two and remove the first day of the first month in the second half of the year instead of doing all that calculations
