I’m not sure what black woman experience Andrew Schulz 👑HEZI has had, but it hasn’t been the real “black girlfriend effect”. To insult black women and described them as complainers & abusive isn’t just untrue. It’s disrespectful. Even worse, James Duncan & Fuhad Dawodu allowing him to say it is more insulting. Andrew Schultz spoke that way in front of two black men because they allowed him to. They made him comfortable enough to disrespect black women because they didn’t force him to respect them. My experience is that black women are powerful, beautiful, strong, and supportive. They prioritize black family, community, & culture. They take steps back to push their men, and families forward. So, no Andrew the “black girlfriend effect” is nothing like what you described. I’m just upset that you don’t have enough solid black men around you to tell you differently!

There are hundreds of white people on Twitter upset that I spend my money with Black businesses. I don’t care. We’ve got to stop letting people gaslight us into thinking racism isn’t real or that group economics isn’t necessary for Black progress. Right now, Black unemployment is up to 7.2%. For Black women, it’s risen from 5.5% to 6.3% since last year. If we’re serious about confronting discrimination, we have to be intentional about supporting each other. That’s not racist — that’s wisdom. There are always a few Black folks who choose to serve white supremacy. Darrell Glasper is one of them. If you call a Black man a “cancer” for standing up for his people, you’re not just out of line — you’re a tool of the very system we’re fighting. We have to call that out as boldly as they attack us. I’m a free Black man, and I act like it. My doctors? Black. Landscaper? Black. HVAC tech? Black. Electrician? Black. Esthetician? Black. Lawyers, tailor, publicist, business manager, print shop, mechanic — all Black. When I host events, I choose Black venues. Because the Black dollar has to build Black economic power. If you’re white in America, you don’t have to try to buy white — it’s the default. So don’t be offended when Black people choose to be intentional about building our own economic future. The vast majomajority of Black men in America held down Vice President Harris. Now I know any time I defend Black men it’s going to create friction because some people want to highlight everything they don’t like about Black men. I think there are Black men pleading with Democrats to stop diminishing the role of Black men. There are Black men saying we have specific policies we want to see. There are Black men saying before we give support we want conversation. When those men are ignored, some of them choose to rebel. You can ignore what I’m saying, but I’m a man who talks to brothers every day. If we are going to build a path forward, it’s going to be rooted in Black people men and women having equitable footing. That’s how we collectively improve our quality of life. There are men who struggle with women in leadership, but the vast majority of Black men showed twice now that we don’t. We simply don’t want to be diminished while we do it. The majority of Black men will always stand with Black women, the same way Black women have always stood with us. The more we highlight that, the stronger it becomes. They want to divide us, and the more we feed that, the more it works. Numbers don’t lie, most Black men know what is at stake and act accordingly.

No doubt about it, South Carolina reset the narrative for Joe Biden in 2020 and it’s resetting the narrative in 2024. This time for Black voters. Biden is on solid ground with the foundation of the Democratic Party — Black women AND Black Men. Polls give Black men a bad wrap every election cycle. It would be nice to see us get the respect for our vote that Black women voters get someday, but no matter. Historically the data shows that Black men are the most loyal Democratic voting block, second only to Black women. That won’t change this election cycle. I am confident of that. 👀
