This guy has no idea what it takes to grow or pick produce. While nobody is advocating for illegal immigration, a majority of our domestic “unskilled” labor is nowhere near willing or able to work these jobs or do it in a way efficient enough to allow for farmers to remain able to pay their bills. Middle ground must be found. Our harvesters on average make above $20/hour and we still have to bring in contract labor from Mexico because none of the so called “unskilled” workers or college students want to do this type of work.

Whats the solution? Better work visa programs?
