absolutely, in the long term pure perovskite tandem is the way! similar efficiency with lower cost (and better rad tolerance for all the space AIs). but it's going to take a while to get there. silicon is hard to beat

we are friends! we make silicon and tandem cells that boost the power output of solar panels for earth and space they buy silicon cells to make panels and are now looking to start making some of their own cells higher efficiency unlocked by tandems is great for everyone

What bandwidth are you tuning the perovskite for? Are transparent (UV absorbing) cells on your roadmap?

absorbing UV through visible (say up to ~750nm). no plans for transparent cells

we plan to. factories need a lot of power per m2 though. onsite solar helps but the grid is still our best bet
