The interesting shift is not that motion designers disappear. It is that the bottleneck moves from making assets to deciding which message deserves to exist, and that still needs taste.

opus 5.5 is better in motion design.

🚨 Muse Wonder VS Claude Opus 5.5 meta claims Muse Wonder outperforms models like Opus 5.5 and Fable 5.1, so i decided to put that claim to the test. i gave Muse Wonder and Opus 5.5 the exact same prompt: build an animated Popeye website from scratch. and here are the final results from both models. which one won?

I asked Claude Opus 5.5 (Max) this prompt: "Create me a motion video of your choice, with the sole purpose of flexing Opus 5.5 capabilities." It worked on its own for 1 hour 37 minutes and gave me this: → Claude

Introducing Claude Opus 5.5 for launch videos. Give it an idea, your assets, and a visual reference. Through the Motion MCP, it can build animated scenes, typography, and transitions into a video you can keep editing. Want something changed? Tell Claude, and it updates the video in Motion. This video was created with Opus 👇

So sad. Motion designers are cooked. :( Made an entire product video with a single prompt using Opus 5.5. Prompt: “Research Distilbook.Make a dynamic 40-second motion graphics video on Distilbook that shows what an incredible motion designer you are. like it's your showreel - Go all out.” Ngl… it’s incredible.

last year I asked claude sonnet 4.6 for some parody songs about what it's like to be a claude. I gave one of them to opus 5.5 today and asked for a video. I have no words. there are 5 distinct styles used, and it's just incredible. Bohemian Tokenry:

This looks like a video of the Golden Gate Bridge, but it's actually entirely generated using code by Claude Opus 5.5. From my testing, I think Opus is just as good at building 3D scenes as Astra. 📌 Watch my latest video to see how Opus and Astra compare on this scene and more:

Stop saying that Opus 4.6 is better than Opus 4.8. I just tested Claude Opus 4.8 (Right) and Claude Opus 4.6 (Left) on the same exact prompt. Claude Opus 4.8 completed it in less than 2 minutes. Claude Opus 4.6 "Garnished" for over 7 minutes. Stop using Opus 4.6.
