Women in Congress asking for special accommodations sets women back 50 years. Nobody forced you to run for office. If you can’t be both an elected official and a parent, I suggest you quit being an elected official!
Perhaps consider NOT using your child as a prop for political theater.
How many mothers make $175k a year at a part-time job with a fully staffed FREE nursery/daycare facility in the same building where they work? How many mothers have the luxury if bringing their baby to work & have company paid-for staff help out? By holding your baby while you speak, you prove that it's not a barrier to you doing your job. It was your body, your choice. Now take responsibility for your choice.
Congress has free daycare. Why can’t you be like every other American mother and drop your kids off at daycare and then take your asss to work?
It was stupid from the start. I have an 8 year old daughter, like all of us, you put on your big girl pants & figure it out. We are not needy & helpless.
If you are going to be in Congress wait until you are done to have a child. We voted for you to work . Being a mother is a full time job. You cannot do both
