This is exactly right, I was formerly part of an opera program and many of the male singers even (including myself) speak in this floaty cadence to avoid fatigue. My “default” pitch range is much deeper but speaking in the head is sooooo much better for you

i don’t know much about ariana but I do wanna second that this is true! i have a vocal chord disorder that makes my vocal chords tired out and tense up quicker than most ppls and one of the things they have u do in speech therapy is speech with your head voice rather than chest!

no like this is literally what i was taught to do in speech therapy as a kid bc i developed nodes from talking in a speaking voice with crazy vocal fry all the time. there’s nothing wrong w having a lower natural register, but if you’re a singer… maybe not
