I just visited one of 140 projects that used our emergency permit streamlining. Thx to early action funding from Governor & Legislature, fast work by Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy & permit waivers, this fuelbreak above Topanga is finishing before the coming Santa Ana’s.

I had a ball on a recent hike with kids from Compton, Inglewood, and South Central Los Angeles, many of whom had never been in the Santa Monica wilderness before, even though it’s not far from their neighborhoods. It’s important for our youth to experience nature and to feel the sense of accomplishment that one gets from overcoming challenges like climbing a mountain. #Kennedy24

More taxes, more regulation, and more Tina Kotek is what’s blocking Oregonians from buying a home they love in a neighborhood they want to raise a family in. Tina Kotek set a goal of building 36,000 home/year. But she’s on track to reach less than half that amount, and by her own admission, it’s the best she can do. It shouldn’t take a permit just to get a permit. As your governor, I will cut taxes, not raise them. We will remove red tape, not add costly regulations. We will work to create jobs for home builders, not drive them away to Idaho. Our time is now. Let’s get to work.

Today, Doris Ogala, the AAC governorship candidate in Abia State, visited the office of the Abia State Structures for Signage and Advertisement Agency (ABSSAA) to confirm that the new, crazy hike in campaign permit fees by Governor Alex Otti and his government is true! I struggle to believe that Governor Alex Otti would roll out such a harsh, undemocratic policy. N200m campaign fee for presidential candidates, N150m for governorship, N100m for senators? These can’t be said to be fees. The government is brazenly extorting money from politicians and encouraging corruption. It is so sad to see this coming from Abia State. Alex Otti should be different. Now, he leaves me with mixed feelings about his second tenure!✍️

The evacuees had work permit extention slips given to them by the South African government while awaiting the renewal of their work permit. Santa Monica by design, has a shortage of Police and Police "presence." Assaults, drug overdoses, drug dealing, theft and disruption are no longer random occurrences in Santa Monica. Ok, THIS is probably the most beautiful place we've seen in our Xinjiang RV roadtrip so far: it's so stunning it looks otherworldly, like we've stepped on another planet. It's now day 25 of our roadtrip and we're next to a lake called bai sha hu (白沙湖, literally "white sand lake") not far from the border with Tajikistan, in one of the rare areas in Xinjiang which access is restricted: foreigners and Chinese alike need a special permit to come here because it's a sensitive border area (the permit is easy to obtain). We're surrounded by some of the highest mountains in the world, including the famous Muztagh Ata (慕士塔格峰), 7,546m - the so-called "Father of Ice Mountains." And, as you can see in the video, while the rest of Xinjiang is mostly cows and sheeps, we're now deep in yak territory 😊
