I struggled with my handstand for years. I was convinced that if I tried it hard enough it would click someday. But the day never came. Until I discovered the power of the indirect approach. Thanks to that, I had my first 10-second free-standing handstand in 6 months of training. What did I do? Not training the free handstand. I did a lot of mobility work to open my shoulders and my hips. I spent a massive amount of time doing Body Line Drills to get proper structure. Then I implemented it all in my handstands with wall support. And only from there I slowly transitioned into the free-standing handstand. Doing the thing without directly doing the thing is by now my favorite approach.

In the late 1980s my science teacher, also the head of the A/V department showed me this film (I was an A/V volunteer why I have so much of this stuff). This is The City from 1939 and it is a very powerful film. It blew me away. And changed me. I convinced him to show it to all his classes and it was loved. I love everything about this movie. But especially the part where it said we could do better. This movie was shown at The World’s Fair and influenced many. However Cronyism and corruption took our good senses and responses it to tribalism that nullified the will of those that saw this film and saw a healthy path. Take the 45 minutes and know this was 1939.

🐹The next concert in the Netherlands will be my last stop. I just wanted to say thank you for giving me such a beautiful memory before the final show. A long time ago, at some concert, one of the members asked the audience to turn on their phone flashlights. Back then, I honestly didn’t get it as I’m not a very sentimental person so I wondered ‘Why do they do that?’ But seeing it today, I felt it was just so beautiful. Ofc, I've always thought it was a pretty scene whenever I saw it, not just that it was pretty today. But the difference is that I kind of expected it when I saw it in the past. And today, I recevied something unexpected. There’s something different about the way a surprise event made me feel. Starting with that ‘London Princess’ thing earlier, there have been so many touching events you've prepared for me today. I’m leaving truly moved. You showed me how powerful a surprise event can be. I watched Hillary Clinton denying ties to Jeffrey Epstein on TV and saying that her husband had saved millions of lives just baffled me. I pray that she is not fooling anyone.
