I just watched the most terrifying documentary on WORKING homeless people. These ppl work but can’t afford rent in the US, so they live in their cars. We spend $1.5 Trillion for the Dept of War while 40 Million Americans live below the poverty line.

I see comments about migrant costs. Yes, we do have illegal migration & yes, it’s costing the taxpayer. But ask what caused it? We spend Trillions on wars that cause mass migration. It’s not the only cause of migration but it’s a MAJOR cause. Taxpayers are getting double screwed.

Its not even just the rent. You also have utilities. And here in NC, Duke Energy, which is the primary provider in most counties, with no other options, the bills are outrageous. I have 1100 sq. Ft home and pay rougly 600.00 a month in the winter. About 160.00 in the summer. Now they want to raise that price by 18% for THEIR fracking project. They had almost 8 billion in profit last year. Make it make sense how the american people cant afford their bills while these corporations just make money....

💯

I work 7 days a week, 2 jobs. Over 40 never bought a house, previous job for 12 years and current one for 15 on salary. It’s impossible to get ahead. I’m beyond grateful for all I do have and I just hope we change the US for ALL to be comfortable and worry free.

Oh man…that’s a lot of working. Life shouldn’t be like that. It really shouldn’t. ❤️

We need universal basic income. Everyone should have the basics and those who work should have more than the basics. This world without a UBI floor is intolerable.

I'm currently one of them. Exactly that situation.

💔 😢

I saw it firsthand when I vacationed camping across the southwest. Families, it is the saddest thing you could possibly see.

💔 Wow…

And that was 10 yrs ago

I've been one of them, more than once.

❤️

"Pull yourself by your bootstraps" Starting to look like they stole the fucking bootstraps
Been there. Later found out the reason I light on funds is that Amazon stole $5k in tips from me. Tips.

Wow…did you get it back?
Yes, the way I found out that it had even happened was when I went to my PO BOX 3 years later and there was a check from a law firm. My cat also died from the stress of living in my car, so Bezos is definitely not one of my favorite people.

Sorry to hear about your cat. How messed up.
If you've heard Jimmy Dore talk about the people living in the parking lot by his house? It was THAT parking lot.

No way!!

They work multiple jobs, yet can't afford a comfortable living. So, many people live in their cars to avoid the high rents of tiny, expensive rooms. The US has become the nation of homeless. Unless people admit it, zions will keep sending money to israel

@mary28653912 And taxpayers pay the benefits to employees of the Walmarts of the world bcuz they don't pay them a living wage OR health benefits. It's Just NUTS ‼️😤

Funding Israel's Jnocidal wars does that

happening in Australia too

My entire Walmart back parking lot is just people living in various vehicles and dilapidated RVs

I’ve been there but it was quite a few years ago and I was able to work my way out of the situation. Can’t imagine how much harder it is now.

And Israelis get free healthcare, college, and weapons paid for by US taxpayers.

They say we are not a welfare state, we are a war state. Weapon industry. We can't afford... All we can do is to send money to Israel so that they can afford it.

We pay illegals $7000 a month to live here. Make it make sense.

@jimmy_dore I saw this not long ago and it’s really sad, and also embarrassing as a nation that absolutely can afford to support our citizens better than this

Bullshit. "We" wouldn't spend on that. The state does. And we wouldn't need to "spend" on poverty if the state weren't siphoning the resources.

A government that can bankroll endless wars but can't keep working families off the streets has its priorities upside down. Americans deserve homes and opportunity, not another blank check for policies that enrich the same political class.

We should divert all the funding that subsidizes Israel's military and come up with programs similar to what Norway has. Norway treats homelessness primarily as a housing problem, not a personal morality failure. They provide housing, then connect people to welfare, mental health, addiction, and income supports.

EVERYONE, please pay attention at the end, where the victim of income inequality admits he thought the homeless were all lazy and drug addicts until he became homeless himself. Here's your sign that you're being propagandized. 💁♀️ Pay attention!

"Why should they go out to fight? They leave that all to the poor" This song immediately makes me think of the stuffed shirts in Congress. We have plenty for bombs and guns. War Pigs indeed.

😢💔

Saw another vid of ppl living in cars~it's terrible 😰 Gov blows TRILLIONS of OUR dollars & pay themselves like KINGS Yet voted $974/mo. Is good to be self sufficient for our Elders & disabled Let's bear one another's burdens joyfully, We're going to NEED each other, BIG TIME!

Spending billions on foreign countries while Americans live in squalor

Just think of the good we could do in this country with the 2 billion per day we wasted on war

Should register as illegals 😢

And is becoming way worse. Related to this is - I feel like I’m seeing more homes up for sale. And once Trump’s “Big BEAUTIFUL Bill” takes effect, things will fast go the direction of the Reflecting Pool for many. Prepare yourselves #America250

It’s so screwed up, while jews get free healthcare and college. Tired of this ride, just about time to bounce

The pentagon is a money laundering operation at this point. Keeps getting massive funding but never passed an audit.

This video is dated. 40 million people under the poverty line?? 140 million maybe! The economy "stronger than ever? No, again. The economy is on the brink of collapse. If you're not generating over 120K in revenue per year, your going to struggle. Health Ins. = 2K a month.

Same in Australia - working families with children living in cars & tents as they cannot secure nor afford rent.

40 million below the poverty line...another 90 million right at the line...
