My favorite woodworking project I've ever made is a bench I made as my first project. A lot of things wrong with it with one glaring mistake. I still have it in my living room. It reminds me of how far I've come and that I actually did okay starting out.

This is a tough conference that we’re in… At the end of the regular season we want to put ourselves in position to have a good postseason run. How can players make a big jump next year?!?! For High School and College players… they all put in work with their coaches. Most of them have a trainer they see to put in work. So what is the separator? 1. Are you working on the right things with your coaches that are going to help you be a better player working your team and overall 2. HOW MUCH TIME DO YOU PUT IN THE GYM ON YOUR OWN. This is a HUGE SEPARATOR because this time isn’t dependent on anyone and is unlimited in how much you do. Almost every player I’ve worked with that has made a BIG JUMP has put in extra time on their own. It’s not only because of the work, but it also helps players understand their game better and gives them a bigger investment in their development. As a player you should assess that part of your development today!

#BAMBAM: originally, #GOT7’s PYTHON was a song i made for my solo. but the members said, “let’s each share what we’ve made,” so in the gc (everyone sent their songs). at first, i thought, “ah, this (song) is so good, what should i do…” it was supposed to be the title track of my album. but since we were making a comeback after a long time, i thought this wasn’t the time to worry about my own stuff. if even i think it’s a good song, then sharing it with the group felt like showing proper respect to the team. so i just sent it right away.

I wasn’t going to talk about this but here we go… At age 21 I fell madly in love with chess, spending over 6 hours a day doing endgame calculations, studying old games, and analyzing my own. I was and am happiest in a tournament hall- I gained over 800 Fide rating points in two years. I’ve never felt this way about anything EVER. But then I graduated. So I made chess content my job. I’m one of the lucky ones. Some months I barely get by, others are better. As I’ve been getting older I started to feel the pressure to make this a feasible career. Any time I didn’t spend making content made me feel guilty (including the time spent studying chess.) I feel like I’m in limbo. I haven’t done a tournament in months. I tell myself when I make it work i’ll be able to again. Having your passion be your work is amazing in so many ways, but it’s also incredibly tough. Usually my content is on the lighter side but I really wanted to make something about what’s been weighing so much on me. Thank you for reading❤️♟
