I knew Cadbury’s tasted different it’s absolutely disgusting now it doesn’t even taste like chocolate anymore. Anyone who grew up loving and enjoying Cadbury’s knows the utter DECLINE in the quality. It’s made with very little Cocoa and loads of Palm Oil and Sugar instead.

Cadbury doesn’t even taste like chocolate anymore. It tastes like plastic and cheap oil. They’ve completely ruined what used to be a proper British classic.

I grew up loving Cadbury. Now it just tastes like wax and chemicals. They’ve destroyed it.

They replaced cocoa butter with palm oil and wonder why everyone says it tastes like shit now. Embarrassing.

@benonwine I honestly doubt it's that deep. I think it's all about greed in the form of monetisation of a strong brand. Basically turning the goodwill accumulated over decades into cash. Kinda like emptying a savings account.

That's why Cadbury's cant market it as chocolate, its not industry standard chocolate. If you notice the glass and a half of milk has disappeared too, its just a glass and a half now. There are more and more products having palm oil in, you need to check ingredients when shopping

Ferrero Rocher use palm oil too. I buy Tony's chocolate , no palm oil and lovely taste. This guy on IG goes around supermarkets identifying products with palm in.

I wouldn't touch it! I only eat Green & Blacks Organic 70% Dark Chocolate or Hotel Chocolat dark chocolate Batons (but even they're going a tiny bit off). Lindt you can forget now. It no longer has that delicious milky smell it had in the '80s and I read that it contains lead and cadmium.

I haven't eaten anything from Cadbury for several years. Banned in this household. Ever since the Kraft CEO broke all the promises made at takeover and also refused to appear before Parliament. You must never forgive the enemies of Britain, whether they are called Rosenfeld, Soros, or Bessent.

Jonathan Cadbury started another business in 2016. His chocolate is much better.

Cadburies make chocolate flavoured products. They've not sold chocolate for many... many years.

We should have protected certain national businesses (and ALL utilities) from foreign takeovers. When Cadburys and Terry’s were sold to Kraft, they promised not to close down the Keynsham & York factories, but did. Cadbury (Fry), Rowntree, Terry’s etc sold to Kraft and Nestlé. The chocolate industry was initially run by honest British Quakers. The reason we have prices shown on food was down to the honesty of the Quakers.

The same for Roses and Quality Street. All just colourfully wrapped cubes of sugar. Vile. And it breaks my heart about Cadbury. Never mind the bolox of coca shortage or being expensive, its ALL about profits before quality.

It's amazing how this is being exposed, yet people won't boycott it. They still keep buying it and eating it! I stopped eating Cadbury as soon as it became American owned. Firstly out of principal. Because I was fed up of us selling up literally everything British that was once British made. Secondly I hate American food. It is full of toxins that the human body shouldn't be ingesting. I knew that in 2010 when Cadbury sold out and look, I was right. It really wasn't long until it was Americanised. Old favourites scrapped. New American style shite pushed. Classics changed..... It was inevitable. If everyone else had the same mentality and discipline, these American corporations wouldn't be able to get away with it. But unfortunately, the majority of folk are weak minded.

I will never buy cadburys again, I would rather have a small quantity of 75% cacao than a bar of shite!

The only way to change what they've done to the Cadbury product IS TO STOP BUYING IT ! Bottom line declines / lower sales volume is what they will pay attention to ! I've not bought any Cadbury products for many years now after they change the ingredients on their Creme Eggs

Legally, they can no longer use the word "chocolate" to describe their product. It doesn't have enough cocoa to be classed as chocolate. Check the wrapper of you don't believe me.

I stopped shortly after the family sold, the quality started sliding within a year.

I stopped buying it months ago. Even their TV adverts says "A glass and a half" but.... doesn't mention milk like it used to.😡

It’s not tasted like chocolate for a long time. Fondly recall dairy milk covered in purple foil with a paper wrapper too before those “easy open” plastic ones and the horrid new bubbly shape! It all went Pete Tong after that… 😭🍫
