Cozy Glow probably should have been given another chance, she was a kid. I assume, her backstory is nonexistent. Tirek getting turned to stone is fine, he's just a one-dimensional greedy monster. Chrysalis I'm iffy on. Honestly I think it depends on the unstated specifics of how Changelings actually work, and what their historical relationship with Ponies is like. Discord should have never been turned back from stone in the first place, and him running around free really makes turning any of them to stone hard to justify because he probably dwarfs the three of them combined in terms of total damage and lives lost. At least Sombra got exploded the first time and then later brutally melted. Now those are proper villain deaths.

Nah. After years of enabling Discord it comes off phony as fuck. Especially when the last thing he did was to position the trio to do exactly what they did. I can't take any of how Gen 4 ended seriously with that asshole running around.

Short answer: Yes. Chrysalis was given a chance to repent and threw it away, Tirek never even entertained the idea of redemption, and Cozy tried to screw all of Equestria twice over and showed zero remorse for it. Cozy being turned to stone was extreme, yes, but deserved.

No Chrysalis is clearly going through some heavy emotional turmoil and honestly is hardly a threat alone. Cozy is literally a child kick her in a hole and leave her there or something (or teach her right from wrong idc). Tirek can be stone or sent back to tartarus.

It’s complicated. But they did try to destroy the whole planet, they turned society against one another, they have no interest in changing their ways (Mostly Chrysalis), and they nearly abused their magic. They CHOSE to be this way and this is what they get.

No because they were manipulated and instigated by discord. They're actually victims but the show needed to end quick so the writers came up with this scenario of Discord being responsible for everything and getting away with it. I honestly didn't like this ending

Not in the way that it happened. It'd been fine if they got turned to stone from the rainbow-beam thing. But Celestia standing over her defeated enemies and deciding that instead of imprisoning or rehabilitating them, she's going to turn them to stone never sat right with me

It’s not to say they don’t deserve a second chance. But this imprisonment, however long it lasts, should give them all the time to think what went wrong. It’s so easy for these ponies to forgive them, but trust is something that must be earned.

Cozy Glow was the only character who had the chance to not deserve it, IMO. She was a strangely written character, (also IMO). I found it strange they never even tried to redeem her the first time around...

Chrysalis yes, because she she actively rejected redemption. Tirek no, because they never even gave him a chance, and Cozy Glow absolutely not, because not only did she get no chances to change, she was a kid! Her fate was literally an evil choice by the supposed heroes.

Punishment is 100% warranted for these 3, but the turned to stone punishment felt like it was too far, especially when they were already depowered.

I think that's actually quite a moral there with these 3 and them turning into stone They were the one that just refused to change, refuse to reform. and they gave no choice but to turn them into stone. Twilight had no fuckin choice but to essentially kill them.

Maybe Tirek and Chrysalis. Not Cozy. She was done dirty.

It is unclear what petrification is like from their perspectives. If it's permanent then it's harsh - essentially a death sentence. If they come back with no memory of the in-between it's pointless. If aware; straight up 'I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream"

Everyone is using the “But cozy was a kid!” Yes and she manipulated and entire school into thinking she was some helpless filly, clearly knows how to work magic pretty well with grogon’s bell, and if she’s conscious enough to do all that and feel no remorse, there’s no difference

Even in her last moments Chrysalis still lashes out as opposed to Cozy and Tirek who show distress from their transformation. Man, I love her so much 😭

I love the detail they added when Discord flicked on the statue. When he was a statue earlier in Season 2, his statue cracked lol

Literal demon, misguided but too far gone child, someone who refused to change after essentially everything was taken from her. There's some gray, but yeah there wasn't much else to do. Discord definitely should have gotten some kind of punishment though, maybe not stone though

My brother quit the show because of Cozy actually being evil, so... I'm personally kinda torn on her.

Cozy Glow was a child that nearly caused an apocalypse, and went back to try to end it again. She was clearly knowing what was happening, and weaponized her ‘cuteness’ as a tool for her means. She deserves it.

It's complicated, because Discord is the entire reason they were even able to get this far. But he just got a slap on the wrist smh
