It has given me a good understanding of some of the issues here. I met different people—coffee growers, farmers, homestay owners, people in farming tourism, and dairy farmers. I had gone to some tribal habitations and understood some of the issues, which I could immediately take up. Today we had a 4.5-hour meeting. I have taken up different issues which can be resolved at the district level. The ones that I have to take up at the central level also, I am going to take up and keep fighting. As I said, when I was elected here, I had to be the voice of the people of Wayanad, and I am doing my job. We are all very excited about this and hope that we will be able to make it an institute of excellence that the whole country will look up to. I'm glad that he has decided, after two years, to visit Manipur. He should have gone long before. It's very unfortunate that he allowed the situation to continue for so long, resulting in so many deaths. This isn't in line with the tradition of Prime Ministers in India; regardless of party, they would visit during times of pain and suffering. That's been the tradition since independence. Congress General Secretary & MP Smt. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra ji visited a dairy farm and had a wonderful interaction with a group of dairy farmers. She listened to their concerns due to which they struggle to make ends meet. To voice their issues, Priyanka ji intends to write to the concerned ministry regarding the difficulties they face, including: - The increased cost of veterinary medicines - Lack of adequate insurance coverage - Limited access to good-quality cattle feed. Priyanka ji also assured them that she'll do everything she can to help these farmers.

I've been in touch with the District Collector on that issue. I've also written a letter to the minister. The conditions are appalling, and the district collectors had some temporary toilets installed. We are also discussing this because they are planning to relocate the girls. It should not be a place that is so far from their home that it becomes difficult for them to get an education, and slowly they drop out. We have also asked the minister to locate a place that is closer and to build this school and to repair the facilities in this existing school in the meantime so that they can move back close to their homes and finish their education. I have written to the minister, and I have also spoken to the District Collector and have requested that the most important thing is that they continue their education in a safe, secure, clean, and hygienic environment.
