I see nothing wrong with this because I do this for my husband and he does the same for me!

I wouldn’t expect my Wife to make me a meal after she worked a 6 hour shift, let alone a 13 hour one. In fact, up until 2021, I used to work 12, 16 hour shifts and not expect any food when I got home. I was rarely hungry, if she wanted to that’s fine, but I didn’t expect it.

It works for them...As a young wife back in the day, before both my husband and I obtained our degrees, the jobs I worked didn't afford me the energy to prepare meals like that.. We split ALL the household chores.. and I'm grateful for him..

Heck yeah my HUSBAND gets what he wants. He wants dinner, lunch, breakfast, a snack… he gonna have it.

For some in the medical field, cooking is therapeutic. Being a surgeon is her job, but being in a marriage and a covenant with her husband is her life, and for her that may be cathartic to cook and disassociate herself from the hospital.

13hrs??? Cook her a meal and if you can't cook order something make sure it's hot too💯

Does she meal prep for the week? I am genuinely asking.

In all honesty, she should be looking forward to a hot meal.

If it works for them great. I think we get so caught up on what is working for others. Everyone has something that won’t work for them. Comparability in relationships is so important.
