Honoring the Memory of Steven Sotloff, of Blessed Memory Today, we remember Steven Sotloff, a courageous Jewish journalist whose life was tragically taken by ISIS a decade ago. His bravery and dedication to truth continue to inspire us. The greatest tribute we can offer is to ensure that terrorist groups like ISIS, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah, the Houthis, and their ilk are eradicated. Our mission is clear: to make this world safer for all—except those who seek to destroy it through terror. Who stands with us in this fight?

"I love those records, and when I made them, I knew they were songs I could sink my teeth into. But my background is gospel. The truth is, I wanted to stay in the gospel field. But it wasn’t paying the bills." - Sam Moore

Odisha didn’t just lose a human; Odisha lost a voice that can never be replaced. I feel grateful that I met you, and even more grateful that I once walked beside you while your song played—the same song for which I acted in the music video. Odisha will miss you, and so will I. Rest in peace. The moment I heard about your suffering, we all prayed for your recovery. But this… this was not what any of us wished for. May your soul rest in peace. May your voice rest in peace. People may forget many things in life—but they will never forget your voice. #humamsagar #RIP

I am actually heartbroken this was in 2005 in the midst of the trial, he made some time to talk to fans and share his gratitude and mutual love, I miss him so much and listening to his voice here gives me hope that all that love gave him strength ❤️‍🩹

Rest in Peace Yallunder I am deeply saddened by the passing of Yallunder, a young and incredibly talented vocalist I had the honor of working with. Her voice, passion, and artistry will forever be remembered. My heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and everyone whose lives she touched. May her soul rest in eternal peace. 🕊️💔

I vividly remember seeing Once in the theater and sobbing when they sang this song. Falling Slowly still hits me and I have to catch my breath. The emotion in his voice on that last chorus.. Rest in peace Glen Hansard. What a terrible loss.

I am greatly saddened with the passing of Zimbabwean Afro-Jazz musician, Bob “Headmaster” Nyabinde. His music was deeply social and yet carried a political undertone only a clever man could infuse in his lyrics. Chabuda Hapana is one such song that tackled the heavy and painful economic struggles that many engaged in yet got nothing out of them. My condolences to his family, friends and fans who are left poorer with his passing. May his soul Rest in Peace.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Heartfelt Message to Lionel Messi Following the Passing of Jorge Messi 🗣️ “I felt truly heartbroken when I heard the news about the passing of Messi’s father, Jorge Messi. It hit me deeply. First and foremost, may his gentle soul rest in peace. After the initial shock, the first thing I did was call Leo. I told him that I understand how painful it is to lose someone so special, especially your father. I reminded him to stay strong and keep his head high. I know this is one of the lowest points anyone can face, but he needs to find the strength not only for himself but also for his family, who need him now more than ever. Behind closed doors, Leo and I have shared many meaningful moments over the years. He is someone I consider a true friend in the world of football. Because of that, I can feel the pain he is going through right now. There is no rivalry or competition at a moment like this—just two men who respect each other, and one of them is hurting. My thoughts, prayers, and support are fully with Leo, his mother Celia, and the entire Messi family during this difficult time. May Jorge Messi rest in peace.”

This news is really heartbreaking. I keep thinking about when he shared that in his family, no one has ever passed the age of 45 and it’s such a painful reality to carry. Hearing now that his brother has also passed just a few days ago makes it even heavier. My heart goes out to him and his entire family during this difficult time. I pray God gives them strength, comfort, and peace, and may his brother’s soul rest in perfect peace.

I know we in the Archdiocese of New York are so grateful for the priests and the sisters and the faithful people that have come to us from Haiti. They and their families are in our prayers. Join me in asking Our Lady of Perpetual Help, to whom Haiti is dedicated, to bring peace and justice to the island. The Good Newsroom

Celine Dion has issued a statement reacting to the passing of the legendary Peabo Bryson who died today at 75. “I’m heartbroken to hear that we lost Peabo Bryson today. His incredible voice and his kind spirit embodied the beauty of song and performance. He was so wonderful and generous to me all those years ago, when we recorded Beauty and the Beast. He made me so comfortable, as I was just learning to sing in English. He will remain for me always as a real symbol of the joy that music has brought to my life. His voice and his talent will be missed… My heart is with your family, and may you rest in peace, Peabo.”

This last year and a half has been quite a challenging and equally awesome time. I’ve faced a lot of backlash for what I sing about, which in some ways has set me back, but in many other ways has opened incredible new doors. I had no idea there were so many of us who felt the same way. We’re fed up with much of what’s going on in the world. The systems that don’t serve us but pretend to. The institutions that rob us and keep us dependent. But what has been so beautiful is discovering how many of us feel this together and genuinely want to create a future that uplifts and serves humanity, and each other. There are so many people working for good, working for the light. I hope the music and art I make can contribute to that in a great way. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you. Thank you for having my back. I have yours too.

Alhamdulillah, I have completed Hajj — a journey that humbles the heart and uplifts the soul in ways words can barely capture. I sincerely pray that each one of you gets the time to experience this beautiful and sacred journey. It is truly life-changing. Please remember me and my family in your prayers, just as I have remembered all of you in mine. 🤍
