The Federal Government led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (Bola Ahmed Tinubu), alongside the Lagos State Government and 57 local councils, has officially launched the Adopt-a-School: Snacks for Thought – PBAT FEEDS initiative. Rolled out across 20 local governments and 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs), this public-private partnership aims to eliminate classroom hunger by providing primary school pupils with nutritious breakfast meals before lessons begin. Backed by a transparent digital dashboard that allows corporate bodies, philanthropists, and diaspora donors to directly adopt and fund schools, the program is designed to complement existing national school feeding efforts. Beyond nutrition, the initiative provides pupils with essential educational materials, including school bags, tablets, water bottles, and notebooks. Key stakeholders, including Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Babajide Sanwo-Olu) and National Programme Manager Princess Aderemi Adebowale, emphasized that addressing childhood hunger is a critical shared responsibility for nation-building. The expectation is that this comprehensive support system will boost morning punctuality, drastically improve classroom concentration, and ultimately reduce the number of out-of-school children nationwide.

These buffoons cut a 2024 video of PBAT and Macron where PBAT specifically mentioned that it is almost impossible to educate a starving population. He advocated for a school feeding program where a child in Nigeria can be assured of a pint of milk, a sandwich and egg. The funny thing is that he did it as Governor of Lagos in partnership with Cadbury, Nestle etc. School feeding program is key to enrolment and attendance. If the almajiri child is assured of food in school, he will go to school. Even their parents would be the ones to push them to school. If a child on the streets of Lagos can eat a decent meal in School, they will stay in class. The UK has a comprehensive school feeding program. The US has a National School Lunch Program. Trying to enroll and teach hungry kids in school is a waste of time. You need to outgrow this 2022 cut and join video format.

Kids can’t learn on an empty stomach. I say this as a classroom teacher who supervised the lunchroom for 20+ years. This school lunch was nutritious, filling, and free. Because in Minnesota, we will not allow our kids to go hungry.
