I saved this as a recipe and then unsaved it once I saw the final product.

I don’t make videos or follow instructions from a leather meat maker - I make perfectly cooked steaks.

24 hour dry brine with a LOT of salt... Brush off the salt 400 degree cast iron skillet using organic LARD .. THATS HOW YOU COOK A GREAT PIECE OF BEEF.. I'm not hiding the flavor with herbs and SHIT

You could do the same thing to an old Nike shoe and get the same results.

I think you need more baking soda on that.

They fucked that steak up by overcooking it. This is what it should look like.

This trick is for tough cuts to tenderize it not for a ribeye. You make yourself look like an amateur with using this on expensive already very tender cut. Please stop with posts that you don’t understand the intention of the technique. Have a great day

WTF? why tenderize such a good cut? Also that's way too much baking soda And you are supposed to wash off the baking soda before seasoning Please stop cooking

Why didnt you throw it on sulfuric acid also?

You can tenderize it with something more natural and acidic - like lemon juice - you don't need to waste such a large amount of baking soda.

LOL, nothing could prepare me for the end of that. Holy shit they torched it as much as it could be torched.

you did not learn that at any restaurant. no restaurant does that. if they want dry beef, they'll dry age. all you did was take out all the acidic flavor notes.

I thought this was gonna show me a great steak recipe… Instead, I saw overcooked steak at the end, smothered in seasoning. Even mashed potato is smothered in seasoning… This video ruined both recipes. Sorry.

You need more dairy (heavy cream) for those taters. Why the baking soda, though? Interesting.

Adding that much baking soda to steak is absolutely ridiculous.
