What application do you use, and what techniques would you recommend for new-gen digital artists?

i use clip studio paint! and what exactly do you mean by techniques? like, for art in general or something more specific? ^^

technically, to beginner artists, i’d say to study lots of other experienced artists’ work! if you have to remake an entire piece you like very much, do so! it’s gonna be a complete copy at first, but you’ll eventually be able to apply what you learned to your own pieces.

by trying to “copy” an already existing piece your brain will get more used to certain patterns! you can do this to multiple different styles you find throught the internet and eventually you’ll come up with your own thing too!

i know it sounds a bit off, like, copying other people’s work is a bad thing, but in learning methods it’s very good actually! you can ask the artist’s permission if you feel more comfortable like that, but the goal is to eventually leave the studying of other pieces behind (+)

and slowly begin to create your own style out of all the info you gathered by analyzing your favorite artists! don’t get too comfy, always move forward and try new stuff all the time, you’ll get the hang of it and being original will be easier and easier over time!

and if you choose to go that way obviously i should just state the basics which is please don’t steal art, that’s not what i mean by analyzing and studying a piece! you can learn from something but don’t say it’s your own creation! xD
