Hey Team. There aren't actually any stores on the National Mall (unless you count the gift shops at the memorials and Smithsonian museums). The Mall gets its name from grassy areas where people used to play a 17th-century game called "pall-mall." You hit a ball with a wooden mallet, so you'd probably be a natural at it. Malls were fun spaces for the public to gather and be seen, and vendors and sellers often sprang up there, so that's how people started connecting the idea of a mall with shopping. Can’t really blame them 😭 but I wish the ballpark would push some more dc culture outside of cherry blossoms and the presidents. These guys play hard for the city but they can’t do too much exploring during the season (At least we get pre/post-game go-go music)

This isn't flattering for the organization that most Nats players know little about the city they play in. Maybe, the Lerner's should sponsor a team field trip.
