I love Al Pacino’s performance in The Devil’s Advocate. Everything Pacino does is interesting & realizing this fact is a big reason I’ve embraced Pacino’s mid-to-late ‘90s run. Yes, late ‘90s Pacino is over-the-top & bombastic as hell, but it gave us electric moments like this.

He just needed to be given more roles like this. As far as him being over the top, this really is exactly how I picture Satan being if he had a mortal body. Just the euphemisms about God and yelling out of nowhere and getting angry at the idea of himself being the bad guy is just perfect.

WATCH: “The most important interview of all time, it solves the human condition, ends the turmoil & suffering in the world & finally makes sense of our lives” – Professor Harry Prosen, Former President of the Canadian Psychiatric Association.

“HE’S AN ABSENTEE LANDLORD!” is one of the great shouted lines in movie history

Totally agree, Al Pacino is a master of the loudness!

Carlitos Way is my favorite. De Palma.

Over the top in a good way

His autobiography was an eye opener to how he felt about each of his movies.

" I cared about what he wanted and I never judged him why because I never rejected him despite all of his imperfections I'm a fan of man. I'm a humanist maybe the last humanist "

People go on about how great an overactor Al Pacino is and how great an overactor Robert De Niro is, but those ham-and-eggers can’t hold a candlestick to Richard Burton in his prime. I specifically remand you to check out Dr. Faustus and watch him bellowing Latin incantations

Has one of my favorite endings of all time. "Vanity... Definitely my favorite sin". *Paint in Black starts*

Al Pacino is a legend ❤️
