I love Al Pacino’s performance in The Devil’s Advocate. Everything Pacino does is interesting & realizing this fact is a big reason I’ve embraced Pacino’s mid-to-late ‘90s run. Yes, late ‘90s Pacino is over-the-top & bombastic as hell, but it gave us electric moments like this.

He just needed to be given more roles like this. As far as him being over the top, this really is exactly how I picture Satan being if he had a mortal body. Just the euphemisms about God and yelling out of nowhere and getting angry at the idea of himself being the bad guy is just perfect.

This is one of my favorite Pacino performances of all time & film everyone should see.

The Panic in Needle Park is considered Al Pacino’s first major role in a feature film. This came out just one year before The Godfather but all the signs of a generational star are in this performance from Pacino. I strongly recommend you give this a shot if you haven’t seen it.

The Al Pacino Birthday Weekend Marathon is so far from over. I finished The Godfather Part III last night & as I wrote yesterday, I think this film deserves more love than it receives. Pacino isn’t as good here as the first two, but man he’s still spectacular in this movie. 🎂

Big Daddy is vintage Adam Sandler & a throwback ‘90s comedy that I love. This movie is a time machine back to a simpler, funnier time. I love the entire cast here & I think Sandler’s performance is hilarious. Of all the Sandler comedies from the ‘90s, this may be the best.

Al Pacino & Robert Duvall say so much with just their eyes. This scene in The Godfather Part 2 is one of my favorite scenes in film history. Some of Pacino’s best scenes as Michael Corleone were shared with Duvall. Duvall was so greatly missed in the third Godfather. Two icons.
