Now compare common opponents and who they're each throwing to. One is doing it with less.

Stafford's case looks great with the box score stats but Drake is clearly the number one QB when you look at any of the advanced metrics (EPA/p, Avg depth of completion, CPOE, etc). Stafford's in a more pass-heavy offense with MUCH better weapons which skews some of the numbers

What about the fact that Stafford has zero mobility compared to Maye? Drake is able to keep plays alive and extend drives using his legs.
