It looked like Zero had a decent nap.

It was as if Zero was feeling stiff from the past battles and needed a good nap before heading into the final battle.

For over 25 years, I used this as evidence that the Gundams are ‘alive’ and aware of its pilots being. I swear I’m not mad!

Until a few days ago, Wing Zero was destined to be destroyed in the heat of the sun. But now, instead of being senselessly scrapped, Wing Zero will sacrifice itself for the peace of the Earth. What a fulfilling finale!

it is implied that zero is semi-senties due to the zero system so it seems alive in some sense.

This scene always gets me a lot the fact wing zero was getting up with every ounce of strength as the mobile suit shaking and never gave up was so bone chilling that it gave me goosebumps to fight one last time!🫢

I always kinda liked how they implied that Zero is moving on its own, that Heero isn't really giving it direction. Or that they both share control. Three Gundams in Wing showed signs of some kind of sentience: Zero, Epyon, and Sandrock.
