why is there a transition between frames?

I built a shader that mimics old PCs by showing “incomplete frames.” Back then, many systems didn’t have true double buffering and drew straight to the frame buffer, so if you couldn’t finish during v-blank, the image would take a few refreshes to fully resolve.
