May this dark night of the soul in LA be a reminder that we may never grow weary of asking one another, “How may I be of help?”

Was it climate change that gave firefighting equipment to Ukraine? climate change not fill the reservoirs? diverting water to save a fish ? Did climate change fire good firefighters for not getting the jab? Did climate change cut $20 million from the firefighting budget?

Firefighters and mitigation specialists do NOT have it wrong: if you don't maintain forests and water infrastructure, you're living in a tinderbox. If you do not employ and prepare enough firefighters, then people will die. If you avoid hiring capable men for DEI, people DIE.

Can we talk about how spent these firefighters will be in a week's time? How they are using orange cones and women's purses to transport water? How they're expected to work 16-hr, 14-day shifts and often fed absolute garbage on many fires?
