Dear Marianne Williamson, I know we often stand on opposite sides of the political spectrum on most issues, but in this moment of trial, your spirit and leadership shine through the smoky veils that have enveloped Los Angeles. The fires have wrought devastation unlike any we've seen. They've claimed homes, reduced parts of city history to ashes, and challenged the resilience of every Angeleno. Yet, amidst this destruction, there's an undeniable testament to the strength of our humanity. You, Marianne, have been a beacon of light in Los Angeles for so long, with your teachings from "A Course in Miracles" at the Philosophical Research Society and your tireless work with Project Angel Food during the AIDS crisis. Your presence has reminded us that love can heal, even in the face of such profound loss. I admire your unwavering commitment to uplifting those around you, your courage in speaking truth to power, and your unique blend of spirituality and activism. You've shown us that there is a path to light and recovery, even in the darkest hours. Your journey from the coffee and book shop in Houston to becoming a spiritual guide in Los Angeles, guiding souls like those attending your lectures, has been inspirational. As Los Angeles begins the long journey of healing from these fires, I see a leader who can heal the political divide in you. Your run for the DNC leadership is not just about politics; it's about bringing a new dimension of love and compassion into our national discourse. You can reach across aisles and speak to the heart of what it means to be human, even to those like myself who might not share your progressive views but recognize the value of your message. Marianne, your words have always been a balm in these trying times, and your actions are a testament to the power of community and service. I support your campaign not because I align perfectly with your politics but because I believe in your capacity to inspire hope, foster unity, and remind us that the core of any political endeavor should be love for our fellow man. May your candidacy be a light in the darkness, guiding us toward a future where we all can find common ground. With profound respect and hope for brighter days, Max Saint Louis

May this dark night of the soul in LA be a reminder that we may never grow weary of asking one another, “How may I be of help?”

Was it climate change that gave firefighting equipment to Ukraine? climate change not fill the reservoirs? diverting water to save a fish ? Did climate change fire good firefighters for not getting the jab? Did climate change cut $20 million from the firefighting budget?

Firefighters and mitigation specialists do NOT have it wrong: if you don't maintain forests and water infrastructure, you're living in a tinderbox. If you do not employ and prepare enough firefighters, then people will die. If you avoid hiring capable men for DEI, people DIE.

Can we talk about how spent these firefighters will be in a week's time? How they are using orange cones and women's purses to transport water? How they're expected to work 16-hr, 14-day shifts and often fed absolute garbage on many fires?

LOL, all of California is run by Democrats, and is deep midnight blue. This is 100% on Democrats and your loony ideology, govt priorities, and policies. We’re not interested in singing Kim ba yah with you. Don’t try and pin this on fossil fuels and climate change.
