It's wild. Chinese has several different tone you have to learn. I'm learning Japanese right now...and the pronunciation of the R's is killing me. I barely pronounce R's right in English 🤣

When you learn a language significantly affects your accent. I learned a lot of Spanish when I was a child/teen and I can speak it (or at least read it) with barely any accent. now I am trying to learn Arabic in my 40/. I can HEAR the accent coming out of my mouth and I can’t do anything about it. 😩
